I can honestly say this was the BEST experience I’ve ever had with a car salesman. Ezequias Mateo at Paragon Honda was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. He was patient, professional, honest, and genuinely looked out for me every step of the way. At no point did I feel pressured or like I was just another sale. Ezequias took the time to answer all of my questions, worked with me to make sure I was completely comfortable with the deal, and made the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. What stood out to me the most was that I truly felt like he had my best interest in mind, which is something you don’t always experience when purchasing a vehicle. Buying a car can sometimes be stressful and frustrating, but Ezequias completely changed that experience for me. I left Paragon Honda not only feeling great about my purchase, but genuinely appreciative of the way I was treated throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Ezequias Mateo enough. I have been buying vehicles for more than 30 years, and Christopher Whiteside, the Sales Manager at Lia Honda of Kingston, was by far one of the best automotive professionals I have ever worked with. From beginning to end, Chris listened to us, understood what we were looking for, and truly consulted with us instead of simply trying to sell us a vehicle. He handled the entire process with finesse, professionalism, patience, and genuine empathy. His communication was exceptional, he followed through on every commitment he made, and the deal we agreed to was exactly the deal he stood behind. We also really appreciated Lia Honda of Kingston’s sales process. Chris personally handled our financing rather than passing us off to a separate finance department, which made the experience much more comfortable and seamless. He explained everything clearly and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Our salesperson, Wesley Carter, was newer to the sales team, and I was equally impressed with how Chris supported and assisted him throughout our purchase. They worked together perfectly and made us feel like we were being taken care of by an entire team. What impressed me even more was that Chris’s involvement didn’t stop once the paperwork was signed\. He personally showed us the service department, explained how to bring our vehicle in for future service, went over how to operate and enjoy our new car, and made sure we understood all of the benefits that come with buying from Lia. It is rare to find this level of communication, accountability, professionalism, and genuine customer care in the car business. I was given incorrect info when I called for service. I have a low mileage 2024 CRV and was told I could get an oil change and tire rotation free. After I arrived I was told that I’ve owned my car more than 2 years. There was only 7,500 miles on the car.

The sales representatives are great and will help you find what you need. I’ve specifically worked with Jamel and Mario. They are fantastic! Jamel helped me get a good deal on my car, he listened to what I needed, and went above and beyond. He was able to help me get my insurance down to $165! He was professional, efficient, and I would definitely recommend him. However, the finance manager, Jamaine Alphonso was awful. He started out being very friendly until he tried to sell me all add ons which I thanked him for and respectfully declined. After I said no, his whole demeanor changed. He had an attitude and I felt very uncomfortable. Then he tried to charge me an extra $455 for the first month payment of my car which was included in the down payment. I told him that everything was to be included and he said no and refused to speak with the sales representative and confirm. I asked again and he continued to say no. I felt like I was being taken advantage of financially and was extremely unhappy. I was truly ready to walk away from the dealership and find another car elsewhere. However, I do love Honda and decided to speak with Jamel and thankfully he did the right thing and got this issue fixed for me. There is no reason I should feel like I’m forced to add other packages to my lease and then presented a different price than what was agreed with the sales representative. This is my third lease with Honda and by far the worse experience with finance. I hope I never have to encounter Jamaine again.

Inventory got me in the door, but the people are the reason I bought my vehicle there and will continue to return. From the start, Cierra, the Product Knowledge Expert who assisted me, set the tone for the entire experience. She was patient, attentive, and genuinely focused on helping me find the right vehicle. She never rushed me or tried to push me in a direction I wasn’t comfortable with. Instead, she encouraged me to take my time and test drive as many CR-Vs as I needed until I felt confident in my decision. That level of patience is rare. Throughout the purchasing process, she maintained consistent communication and made sure I was informed every step of the way. Even after the sale, she followed up with me twice to make sure everything was going well. That kind of follow-through shows real commitment to the customer, not just the sale.
