I always appreciate my service advisor. He always treats me with respect, professionalism and fairly. This is the case here.
However, the tech was unable to find the electrical problem within my truck. Says that there is nothing wrong and I was asked to bring my truck (F350 Diesel) into your shop WITH my RV. Told him 'NO' as I do not wish to have anyone at the dealership touching my RV. The problem lies strictly in the vehicle and not the RV.
Once hearing the request, I took it to a local (reliable) diesel dealer to investigate further. They looked & tested the vehicle (while I watched) & determine specifically that the problem lies in my vehicle (not the RV). It is possible that when Gator Ford did the replacement on the DEF senor a couple of months ago, that the wire was damaged. They are going to be inspecting the wiring around the DEF sensor to determine if there is a problem there.
You (and Bryan Farley) will be hearing more from me once the diesel professional is able to get up under the vehicle and inspect what is going on and if there is where the problem lies. As Gator Ford was not able to find the problem and investigate further, I trust that the diesel service team with this third party will find the problem. If so, you will be hearing from me as to their findings.
