I want to start by recognizing Allen and Raed. They were both great communicators throughout the process, and Allen especially stayed on top of everything and kept me informed. I truly appreciate the effort he put into helping me. When I asked what options were available to swap trucks after the mechanical issues, Allen directed me to his manager, Shaun Anderson, to discuss those options.
That said, I purchased a used truck that was presented as a solid, reliable vehicle. Less than three days after bringing it home, it needed a new fuel pump. To the dealership’s credit, they replaced the fuel pump at no cost to me, which I genuinely appreciate. However, the truck then spent about two weeks in their service department, meaning I was without my newly purchased vehicle for most of my first few weeks of ownership.
Not long after I got the truck back, the check engine light came on again due to an engine misfire. After experiencing multiple mechanical issues almost immediately after purchasing the truck, I asked about the possibility of swapping it for another vehicle.
Initially, I was disappointed to learn that the trade-in value offered was approximately $5,500 less than what I had paid, despite owning the truck for less than 20 days—and with nearly half of that time spent at the dealership for repairs. Considering how quickly the problems surfaced and how little time I’d actually been able to drive and enjoy the truck, I had hoped the dealership would be willing to offer a solution that better reflected those circumstances.
After Shaun learned the full scope of the situation, he took the time to have a candid conversation with me. We were able to discuss my concerns, and ultimately we came to an agreement that worked for both of us. I appreciate him taking the time to listen and work toward a resolution.
Buying a used vehicle always comes with some level of risk, and I appreciate that the dealership stood behind the fuel pump repair under warranty. While the experience started off on a frustrating note due to the unexpected mechanical issues, I also believe it’s important to recognize when people make an effort to resolve a situation. Allen and Raed provided excellent communication throughout the process, and I appreciate Shaun’s willingness to listen and reach a mutually agreeable solution
