Searching for a Tesla online can be a very stressful experience. Between misleading descriptions on some online car-shopping apps, confusing advertisements, and the uncertainty of buying a vehicle from hundreds of miles away, I approached the process with a lot of caution. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of working with Kash Patel at Gravity Autos in Jacksonville, and he made the entire experience a great one. One of my biggest concerns was placing a non-refundable deposit on a car I had never seen in person. Since my best friend John lives in the Jacksonville area, Kash agreed to meet with him and spend considerable time going over the Tesla in detail. Together, they checked the car carefully and verified the features that were particularly important to me, including the Tesla hardware and Autopilot/Autosteer capabilities. Kash never made me feel rushed and was willing to take the time necessary to make me comfortable buying a car from several hundred miles away. Once I decided to purchase the car, I paid the deposit and booked a flight from Birmingham, Alabama, to Jacksonville to see the Tesla myself and complete the deal. Kash personally met me at the Jacksonville airport—in the middle of a local rainstorm—and drove me back to the dealership. Once we met in person, we immediately hit it off. He was funny, witty, personable, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. Kash walked me through every part of the purchase process and then even drove me to a local branch of my bank, where I had wired the purchase funds, so I could obtain the cashier’s check for the dealership. I was apparently so excited about finally getting my Tesla that afterward I left to have dinner with John and completely forgot that my luggage was still sitting at the dealership! When I realized what I had done, Kash actually volunteered to bring my luggage to me. I couldn’t bring myself to make him do that, but the offer says a lot about the kind of service he provided. Buying a car long-distance requires a certain amount of trust, and Kash went out of his way throughout the process to earn mine. Thanks to Kash and the entire team at Gravity Autos Jacksonville for making what could have been a stressful experience into a fantastic one. And a special kudos to my best friend John for being my local eyes and ears early in the process! Five stars from me.
