My visit to your Route 17 location was possibly my best car buying experience  . Rion Mustafa ( my sales person ) was just a wonderful person. We did a bunch of exploring at your used car lot . He was so very intent on locating a vehicle that matched my desire . We did locate a great vehicle and we were set on it . Only to find out it was sold on Saturday . Everything worked out though , I am the proud of a Brand New Ridgeline . Ana Rosas , your finance manager . I have to be honest. As I was leaving with my sale contract I turned and thank her for all she did . I also expressed to Ana that this was my absolute best experience in the finance department at any car dealership . So last but not least . I had to return the car today as it had a cracked windshield when purchased . This was discussed and plans to have it repaired were made at the time of the sale  . Also upon seeing what is actually a new vehicle for my wife , she insisted on some accessories. So while dropping it off for the windshield replacement we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Miguel Salazar one of your service advisors . Another great experience . He was able to set up the installation of the windshield along with the new accessories . He also hooked my wife up with a rental while her new car is laid up . Mahwah Honda  will be the only dealership I recommend to friends and family .

I got the exact vehicle I wanted at the price I was comfortable paying, and the entire process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. I worked with Mohammed Shafi, who was outstanding. He was professional, respectful, and very easy to work with. He was well prepared, answered all my questions clearly, and got the deal done quickly without any pressure or wasted time. It was clear that everyone at the dealership was on the same page, from sales, to management, to finance, to the car prep and detailing team. Generally positive and seamless experience with the Hamilton Honda team. They matched a previous offer and were courteous throughout the process. Only hiccup was discrepancy in interest rate communicated by salesperson and Finance which was quickly resolved.

Potential buyers should read this before purchasing from Hudson Honda. I am sharing my experience with photos so others can understand what happened. 1. CPO vehicle with major defects I first purchased a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Hudson Honda. Soon after, I had the car inspected by another Honda service center. The inspection found over $8,000 in mechanical problems that should never pass a CPO inspection (Photo 1). Because of these issues, I ended up buying a brand-new 2025 Honda Pilot from the same dealership. 2. SSN security concern during financing During the financing process, the dealership asked me to send a photo of my Social Security card by email. I explained that sending a full SSN card by email is not secure and asked for a safer method. Instead of handling that concern professionally, the response I received included pressure and references to a “repo team.” As a customer simply trying to protect sensitive personal information, this was extremely concerning. 3. Brand-new car delivered with seat damage After taking the new vehicle home, I noticed visible damage on the rear seat. The leather was cut and peeling in several places (Photo 2). I contacted the dealership and asked them to repair the seat immediately. 4. Repair process became tied to survey pressure As I tried to get the damaged seat repaired, the process became more complicated than it should have been. Instead of simply scheduling the repair, I was told that help with the repair would depend on my response to the Honda customer survey. That raised serious concerns for me about how customer feedback was being handled. 5. More than a month later, still unresolved Even after over a month of communication, the dealership has still not provided a confirmed repair appointment for the damaged seat. I keep being told that a specialist is “out of the office.” A brand-new vehicle should not remain damaged for over a month while the dealership delays a basic inspection and repair. I have filed formal complaints with the BBB and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. Buyers should carefully consider this experience before purchasing from Hudson Honda.
