DO NOT SHOP AT RT23 Honda!
My family has purchased 6 Hondas from RT23 Honda in the past, and the dealership has steadily gotten worse over the last couple years.
I will begin with the ONLY bright spot. My salesman, Carlson, was respectful, caring, and helpful throughout this whole process. He definitely deserves to work for a better dealer.
I purchased my New 2026 Honda Ridgeline on Aug 2. There were a couple issues with the vehicle, but Carlson jumped right in and exchanged it for another one without me even asking. Fast forward to Sept 1, my temporary plates were expiring in 1 day, and I still hadn't received my permanent plates. I called RT23 Honda and was told the DMV is backed up but not to worry about it since RT23 Honda would pay any ticket I might get. I asked to put that in writing and was flat-out told NO.
At this point I called DMV direct in Trenton. They said they are not backed up at all, and when I gave them the VIN of the vehicle there was no record -- meaning that RT23 Honda had not even submitted the paperwork. I then called RT23 Honda back and asked to speak to the General Manager. They left me on hold for 20 minutes when Greg in Finance finally picked up. He said he submitted the paperwork himself (he did not) and that he would contact "his" people and get back to me later that day. He never called me back.
In desperation I contacted my salesman Carlson, and he was extremely sympathetic to my situation (at this point it was the day after expiration, and I could no longer legally drive the car). He said he would take care of it. He actually took his own time, found the unsent paperwork, went to DMV himself, and got my plates.
RT23 Honda overall was more than content leaving me high and dry post-purchase, and were it not for the singular good salesperson there taking his own time to solve the problem, I would still be left waiting for them to do what I paid them for. I cannot in good conscience recommend RT23 Honda anymore.
