I purchased a certified used vehicle from another - BWANNER88
I purchased a certified used vehicle from another dealership in another state and was confident based on the description of the certified used program that I was receiving a vehicle that would be problem free, and that if there were problems, that I would be well taken care of because the vehicle was certified and all of the factory warranties were in full force. However, I experienced some difficulties with one of the keys provided with the vehicle and noticed a minor problem with one of the exterior lights. I took it to my local dealership to have these concerns addressed, confident that they would be covered under the vehicle warranty. Approximately 10 minutes after handing the car over to the service department, the service agent came over to warn me that because the vehicle appeared to have had some sort of collision service done by the previous dealership, that they may not cover the repairs under warranty. This did not instill confidence with me and made me very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the problem with the key was not properly evaluated or addressed and I ended up having to come back a second time for them to reevaluate and eventually order a replacement part. Once the replacement part arrived, I expected to be contacted but I was not- I waited a week and then called in to find out that the part had arrived but I was not notified and that I would need to set up another service appointment, my third, to have this issue addressed. Fortunately all the repairs are being covered under warranty, so the unsettling comment that was made to me on my first visit, appeared to serve no purpose other than to make me uncomfortable. I hope that when I return for the third time to have the replacement key programmed that my problems will be at an end.
