I recently bought a vehicle from Kingstowne Motor cars that started malfunctioning a 1/2 hour after I drove it off the lot. An alarm indicator on the dash started flashing. The car drove perfectly fine when I test drove it. I turned the car around and went back to the dealership and showed them the problem. They acknowledged the problem, provided me with a loaner car and had the car repaired within a couple of days. I've driven it all weekend and it runs great. Rick took the time and had the knowledge to help me know and understand the the truck that I was purchasing. He was familiar with its features and capabilities as well as (almost) knowing what I had come in to look for. When we finally worked it out that I needed the GMC SLT package it was no problem fulfilling my needs.

They will pre-approve you on the phone and tell you they will have everything ready for you so it won't take long. It won't if you take everything with you, to include you last 3 bank statements. I had to log into my bank account and print mine from one of their computers. So be prepared. Things move smoothly after all documents are in hand. Go online and pick a few choices to save even more time.

I walked into Fred's a couple months ago, wanting to buy an Audi. However, my family walked out with a Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. From the minute you walk in, you are well taken care of. We were truly impressed with the team's knowledge, customer service, and helpfulness. Tony worked tirelessly with his team to get us low interest rates and monthly payments on each vehicle purchased. I have always been skeptical of used car dealerships, but these people make you forget that the cars were even used. The cars were detailed and in great condition. I must say that we are very pleased with their service, I was able to buy my dream car and, with their help, ensure that my parents got theirs as well. The team is very well equipped, and Tony was able to answer every question we needed answered before purchasing 3 cars in one day! I was able to get my car within 2 hours with a minimal down payment, and so far it is running smooth and good as new. I highly recommend this dealership for anyone, they have every car you could imagine from a Toyota to Corvette. I can't thank everyone at Fred's enough. Their work ethic is unbeatable, they are really trust worthy and work hard to give their customers the best.

The worst experience possible. My girlfriend purchased a car from here a month ago. Had nothing but trouble with the vehicle since day one. A lot of work that needs to be repaired (sway bar links, struts, ball joints, and gas tank leak) . And Matt Richardson said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. She brought the vehicle back to the dealership way before the 1000 mile warranty expired and they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle and pretty much told her she needed to leave. 3 out of the 4 sway bark links were broken all the way through and cost out of pocket 275 dollars, since the warranty paperwork hadn't been filed until 12/8/16 and the vehicle was purchased on 11/3/16. Which the vehicle shouldn't have passed inspection with the links broken. But Charles Barker Toyota passed it that day. The struts and ball joints also need to be replaced. On top of that the gas tank is leaking. On the day she purchased the vehicle, she was promised that Charles Barker Pre-owned Outlet would mail the permanent plates. She called once a week for a month and they said they had been mailed. Well after the 30 day tags expired, she called again and said they were just sitting there. Then she couldn't drive the vehicle legally. The day she purchased the vehicle she also purchased an aftermarket warranty through Continental. Well when she took it to a body shop to assess the repairs NEEDED due to safety, the body shop called Continental and they had never even sent in the paperwork on the purchase of the warranty. That was over a month after purchasing the vehicle. The people who she has been talking to are not willing to help out what so ever. Especially Matt Richardson. It is a shame that a big company like this would sell an unsafe vehicle with a 1000 mile warranty and not do anything to fix the problem.

Brandon was my first contact at CCN. I called to ask some general questions about their financing options and he talked with me and explained everything. Now I had already been to several dealerships and talked to countless sales reps, so I was kind of prepared to hear a bunch of fluff just to get me to come in like all the other ones. Such a waste of time. But Brandon kept the conversation neutral and just provided clear answers to my questions without making empty promises or pushing to get a sale. That's why I decided to move forward to pay CCN a visit.
So when I came in, I scanned the room to see where I should go. I was met with friendly smiles from everyone. Brandon approached me immediately and greeted me by name before I even introduced myself! We strolled around the lot and he said that he already had a few cars that he thought I might like based on our conversations. I was treated as if I had $100,000 cash to spend! I took two cars for a spin and he helped me narrow it down by answering my questions about each. Not only is he super knowledgeable about the inventory, but he is fun, upbeat and hilarious!
I was in and out of the dealership in no time. I have never purchased a car in such a short amount of time. The first hour (and the hardest part!) was me making up my mind about what to buy. The second hour was meeting with Sean to get through the numbers. They make sure that every buyer clearly understands the process and exactly what all the paperwork means. I never felt pressured and everyone was patient. I'm telling you, you have never been to a buy here pay here dealership of this quality. The facility is beautiful, clean and comfortable. They have activities to keep kids entertained and a beautiful bathroom that was actually cleaner than most restaurants or department stores!
They have changed the game with the car-buying experience. The entire team makes the stress and anxiety disappear while still being thorough and professional. I'll be buying my next car from here without a doubt!! They are doing a great thing by helping everyone get some wheels, no matter the credit situation. I was in search/need of a new(used) car but I knew my credit was not up to par, my sister-friend, Kim referred me to FRANK. I was nervous at first but FRANK and his friendly, personable personality put all my nerves at ease. FRANK assured me that he was going give it his all to "Make It Happen" and he did just that. FRANK answered all of my questions, went over every document one by one and allowed me to take my time to read through all the documents before I signed. Not one time did I feel rushed or that he was only about "MAKING THAT SALE".
When I finally met JEFF, he was very cordial and kind. In my estimation, JEFF went over and above to work his “MANAGERIAL MAGIC” and I ended up driving off the lot in a BEAUTIFUL, SLEEK, SILVER, 2013 HONDA ACCORD with all the bells and whistles.
My suggestion to anyone who is planning to stop by Smart Wheels...
1) Know your credit score
2) Know your budget
3) Keep an open/understanding mind regarding interest rates (after all Smart Wheels is there to offer a SECOND CHANCE to those that need it)
4) Remain optimistic
5) Have patience

Went to Basic to look at a Corvette. The deal I negotiated was a good deal. Dealt with Eugene, the manager of the West Broad St. sore in Richmond. He let us take the car over the weekend to test drive & have it checked out. The car was out of gas so he got a salesman to go get a gas can filled. He then told us to put gas in it & he would reimburse us on Monday when we brought the car back. We drove to Glen Allen to see some friends and then we were going to go to dinner. When we left the car would not start. I called Eugene & he told me me his towing company couldn't tow & I had to arrange the tow & he would reimburse me. I asked him who is towing company was & I called them & they came & towed the '04 Corvette & they took us with them to pick up our car. When it came time to reimburse us for the gas he said he would mail the check. I did not trust him after that as he lied about the tow truck. Since we had such a horrible experience & ruined our dinner plans for Saturday night Eugene agreed that the dealership would treat us to dinner. Another lie. The carpets in the Corvette were wet & I think the car may have been in an accident. I finally was reimbursed for the gas but had to drive to Ashland, Basic's home office. Eugene yelled & screamed at me on the phone Monday when I asked about the gas reimbursement. A rude, crude nasty man. He should not be a sales manager. Horrible car buying experience. Zero star rating!!! Several weeks later Corvette still there. Something wrong with it & them. Do not buy a car at Basic Auto Sales!!!! Stephen S.
Lack of compassion, leadership and mechanic knowledge - Lack of Compassion; Frustrated
Purchase the 2012 Hyundai Sonata GLS car and picked it up on 6/2/2016. The car drove well on the test drive(s) and the day I drove it home. The days following my purchase, I started experiencing brake problems on the car. My sales Charles McCord instructed me to return the car and let their mechanics look at the car. 3-4 days later I took the car back and the mechanic claimed he didn't see or hear anything out of the ordinary. Everything was normal. I told him he was incorrect. I do have enough general knowledge about the mechanics of vehicle to know what is normal and abnormal. The mechanic claimed he "greased the brakes/lubricated them" and turned the rotors. That was incorrect because you can not lubricate brakes..............Give it time and the brake dust should go away. FALSE!!!! Less than a week later, the exact same problem. I take it back again; they SUPPOSED to have put new brake pads/shoes on the back of the car because the sound is louder. I did not have to pay for any labor or parts. But I did pay to have the tires rotated and balanced. Everything sounded and looked good after waiting for hours. Once again,here we are on the 3rd week, I am right back with the same problem again; scrubbing and knocking sound coming from the back of the car.. These mechanics at the dealership are CLUELESS on how to properly diagnosis the problem. I called them on the morning of 6/27/2016; telling David for the 3x time about the problem. His solution was he did not know what to tell me, I was basically on my own. He tells me why don't I take it to a mechanic in NC. What??!!! It has not even been 30 days yet!!! David was sarcastic and did not care about me as a customer and the trouble it has brought to me. He did not care. I told him I had contacted NCDMV and Virginia DMV and my bank about the matter and possibly would be returning the car. He did not care. He told me to do what ever I needed to do. No Compassion at all. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. My salesman Charles (Chili) was wonderful but the other salesman and mechanics are horrible!!!!

I have had several car buying experiences and by far this has been the best car buying experience ever. Saturday morning we arrived around 11am and despite all the cold weather and rain Dylan took time to show us the all the cars we wanted to see, take us for a test drive, helped us purchase our selection before noon. Dylan was a true professional all the way. There was no pressure to buy, no haggeling over the price and the whole experience was so fast. I will recommend Dylan and this dealership to all my friends.

As we entered, we received no greeting from the two salespersons (very busy at work on their facebook and instagram pages by the way). We asked for the salesperson that the appointment was booked, and he had "left for the day" but upon further evaluation of this particular dealership, He in fact was there the entire time and matter of factually hid from his "troublesome customers" in his hideaway office as he walked past the sales rep and smirked not knowing that we knew EXACTLY who he was because my wife and I looked him up on LinkedIN way before he even knew what we looked like.
