My Review of Baytown Honda:
Check their rating with BBB!

I traveled about 200 miles from Austin, TX to Baytown, TX, to buy my "brand new" 2009 Accord EXL V6/6MT. There were none of these cars in central Texas at the time, as manual transmissions are tough to find.

It turns out that this dealership had swapped my car's trunk with another Accord EXL 4 cylinder, simply because the buyer of the other car wanted a deck lid spoiler.

What did this mean for me?

1. I've got a trunk lid from another car. The theft recover ID and VIN ID tags don't match my car.
2. They never bothered to order a replacement spoiler and attach it. I got less car than I paid for.
3. They never disclosed the trunk swap modification at any time during the negotiation or the final sales transaction.
4. The lines of the trunk lid don't match up 100% with the body. I'm sure these lines are corrected prior to paint.
5. A complete waste of my time to chase this down and get my trunk brought back to OEM spec.
6. After I discovered this discrepancy, I called the sales manager to complain. His' initial responses were "You got a great deal" and "You're worried about a tiny little lip?". The correct response would have been, "Our mistake, let's make it right at your convenience".

I question the legality of body part swapping on cars presented as "brand new", especially without full written disclosure. I would never recommend doing business with Baytown Honda.
