My Review of Courtesy Jeep:
I purchased a 2001 Jeep Cherokee from this dealership in October 2004. The sales person was rude, and did not appear to want my business. When my wife and I requested that the rear brakes be inspected because of a knocking when breaking, I was questioned as to how interested I was in purchasing that particular car. After waiting for over 45 minutes, the problem had been resolved (dirt in rear breaks - shouldn't this have been discovered during MD Inspection?); we test drove the vehicle again and we decided that we were going to proceed with the purchase (lesson learned).

Within one week, the front breaks were in extremely poor condition and when I took my newly purchased car back to the dealership to have them looked at, I was told that they were warped beyond MD State inspection standards and that they would have to be repaired.

I spoke to the Sales manager who agreed to repair the breaks for free. As I was waiting for the work to be completed, Ralph, my ever so friendly sales rep approached me to ask how I was doing. When I told him what was going on and how it was being resolved, he replied, "We like to take care of our customers even after you've bought the car". However, after speaking to my brother-in-law who is a mechanic, I was informed that the dealership is bound by law to make the necessary safety related repairs within the first 90 days of purchase.

Courtesy Jeep is either selling used cars that they know are in poor condition on purpose, or the Shell gas station on Rt. 355 that performs the State Inspections is doing so with little regard for State mandated inspection standards. Suffice it to say, I will never purchase a car from Courtesy Jeep again and I strongly urge you to reconsider if you are considering making them your "Five Star Dealer".
