My Review of Herb Chambers Saab:
We just bought a new Saab 9-3 from this Salesman who was a pleasure to deal with. This was the most enjoyable, least pressure Sale We were ever involved in. The Manager Jason was also a pleasure to deal with.
We shopped around and they seemed to be the most competitive.
Thanks again
Rich & Lori M.

My Review of Herb Chambers Saab:
my overall review of this dealership was outstanding from the initial visit and after I drove the vehicle home they called days later to insure I was happy with the vehicle

My Review of Herb Chambers Saab:
I am glad that my deal was entirely a "beat the competition, here are the numbers" deal. Everything was done over the phone and all I had to do was pick up the car. The salesman at the time (Rene Tredeau?) was actually good.

I had to service the car a number of times. A couple of times with a front end squeak. Once they said the couldn't hear it, next time they couldn't figure out what it was? The service department is impossible to get on the phone during the day. I never received calls to tell me my car was done. When going to pick up the car it is common place to stand around for 15 minutes watching the service personel running frantically around.

Although the car is generally fixed in a timely manner, they just seem very short on the customer service representative aspect of service.

Except for the salesman who helped with my delivery everyone else in sales seemed arrogant and condescending. I actually called a few months in advance about the new convertibles with a few questions. 1) the salesman had my on speakerphone and would not take me off, 2) someone else was in the room, 3) he felt it appropriate to mock me about questions I had about availability.

As a consumer I figured it would be a terrible idea to ask 1) if they know when they would be taking delivery of these and 2) if they would be at all available for the 24 hour test drive that was currently available. Apparently foolish questions.

In any case, if you would prefer a *postive* saab ownership experience I would highly recommend Central Saab in Norwood. John Zimmerman and his service staff are postively the best I have come across in any industry. They are indeed a smaller shop but they realize completely there is a person behind each automobile they sell and service.

My Review of Herb Chambers Saab:
My car died on me unexpectedly and I was unfamiliar with the area so I took it to Herb Chambers. Big mistake. They charged about twice as much as they should've, kept my car overnight, and returned it to me with a burnt headlight (thanks for the heads up). The one thing they did right was drive a loaner vehicle to my house when they realized my car wouldn't be ready that same day. They're prices are outrageously high ($105 /hr in labor) and their mark-up on parts is close to 100%. The quality of the work was 'average' - given the prices I was expecting something stellar. The newly remodelled dealership is impressive (flat screens everywhere, granite flooring, fancy lighting schemes) until you realize you're paying for the dealership to look like that. Save your $$$ and go ANYWHERE but there. Then again, I think the message already got around. All the times I was there the place was deserted. Once on a Saturday morning (typically a very busy time for service depts) and once on a Monday morning (also typically very busy) and once Monday night.

My Review of Herb Chambers Saab:
Worst experience with a dealer ever. I have had at least 20 new car deals in the past 10 years and have never experienced anything like it.
Bait and switch quotes. Time wasters. Lied about inventory, prices, and held deposit. Had to contact Attorney General's office. Wrote a personal note to Herb Chambers who I met two nights before at the Maybach Launch that I was invited to at the Ritz in Boston. No response.
Save your sanity, time and money. Go to Saab Nashua North in Merrimack, NH.
