Reason for Visit: Sales (Used)

I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Koons College Park Ford:
My wife and I bought a 2008 Ford Fusion. During the buying process the salesman would contact us and call all the time. When we purchased the car we were missing some things such as the owner’s manual and the car’s spare key, which we were told we’ll get on the following day. Nothing happened on the following days, I contacted the sales person multiple times and he would never call back. When I went to the dealership in person they told me that they’d try to give me a good deal on the spare key, which isn’t fair as I was promised to get a spare key and I didn’t bargain on their listed price and paid everything upfront.

I called the dealership before going and they told me that they could take care of the spare key issue if I come in before 3:00 pm on Saturday. My wife and I were there by 1:30 pm. For the sake of fairness, when I went back, and they could tell that I was upset, they went into some room and where somehow able to find me a spare 2008 Fusion owner’s manual; but as for the key they told me that the person who could do it for me isn’t in on Saturdays – then why was I asked to come in? Just to waste my time? The only pending issue at the moment is the spare key, which they said could run me up to $250. I do not believe I should be charged for that as it was part of the deal. They said they’ll call me back and I am still waiting to hear from them.

To wrap up, what is bothering me is that they were acting professional before the sale, but then completely ignored me after they had the money in their pockets, and that they’re trying to go back on certain things we agreed on during the time of purchase.

I personally wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone. However, if you choose to disregard my recommendation then make sure you have everything you need at the time of purchase and if something is missing don’t believe what they’ll promise you and don’t pay money until they bring it, otherwise they will make you run after them.

I recommend this dealer: No

My Review of Koons College Park Ford:
I was sold a Ford Escape Hybrid with a rear floor mat option included. I was asked to sign papers that everything was in order in the office, after I had inspected the car and it had been sent for washing. After signing papers, I arrived home only to find that there were no floor mats. I wrote to the sales persons and got no response. A customer service person by the name of Somalia called me and I reported the problem, but have still received no response. I have also not received a maintenance schedule, which could lead to problems with my warranty. That is why I rate the dealership as very poor on all counts.
