My Review Of Manhattan Mazda:

I went to Manhattan Mazda today and had the good fortune to be taken care of by Alan Bass. To be honest, I was put off by others in the dealership (I got some real attitude in more than one area and was told to wait for the shuttle for a couple of minutes but after standing around for 45 minutes I walked out) but Alan made things right--seeing to my car's condition and attending to my overall automotive needs. Despite any other frustrations I may have with this dealership, Alan Bass is the single reason I keep coming back. If I do get my next car from Manhattan Mazda, it is because I know I will receive Alan's expert care and personal touch.

My Review Of Manhattan Mazda:

I waited for a pickup for a flat tire for 24 hours. One person was responsible and responsive after repeatedly calling the worst voicemail system ever. Mazda roadside was unavailable and unresponsive as was the dealership. This is my second Mazda, and although I love the car, I could never lease again as I would have been sitting on the side of a road somewhere for 24 hours with no help. In addition, I was told that I would have to rent a car if my car, which they would have had a day and a half to repair isn't ready by this evening. Very disappointed Mazda.

My Review Of Manhattan Mazda:

I met Alan Bass for the first time this past week when I brought my Mazda in for its 15,000 mile service. He couldn't have been more patient, kind and knowledgeable about what my needs were for this service, telling me what it included, along with answering other questions I had about my car. (I haven't owned a car for quite a while.) His courtesy and consideration extended even further, when I came to pick up the car and found that the service people had not finished off the service I had requested by washing the car. He had that attended to immediately. Alan is an extraordinary ambassador for this dealership and I hope his efforts are acknowledged by upper management. I must admit that I have had a number of problems with this dealership but Alan may have single-handedly turned me around on again giving my business to Manhattan Mazda in the future.

Went to the dealer looking for a ford. Met mr . Savino he listened to what we wanted and what we wanted to spent. He showed us around than we found a. Madza cx7 black We fell in love . Vin gave a great price and we brought the car that day. Very happy , thanks. Vin your the best .

My Review Of Manhattan Mazda:

I would NOT trust these guys, and would only recommend them to people I strongly dislike. Brought my car in for an oil change/tire rotation using the online coupon, which included a free “inspection”. They called me up and told me my axel boot was split and I needed to replace the entire axel immediately because it was a safety issue. They also told me the bushings on all of the lower control arms were cracked, and therefore the entire control arms needed to be replaced. The guy gave me the hard sell over the phone, telling me that the car wouldn’t even pass state inspection in its current condition. In total, he estimated the cost to deal with these and other issues was $3000, but suggested I try to claim mechanical breakdown with my insurance company to help defray the cost.

Well, after checking with a family friend who’s a mechanic, here’s the reality: a split axel boot is not a safety issue, it’s common on cars with the mileage I have, and since it wasn’t even making a clicking sound unless the wheels were turned all the way sideways it wasn’t even urgent. Furthermore, another option in these cases is to replace only the split boot (and not the axel), but he didn’t give me this option (though in some cases the amount of labor involved means that this costs as much as replacing the entire axel anyway – but a knowledgeable and honest mechanic will explain this to the customer). Worn out bushings on control arms are natural wear and tear, and are also not safety issues, and most of the time don’t even need to be dealt with at all. And as far as passing inspection, my car had passed just 2 months before, and had put on very little mileage since then because I drive it infrequently – so his claim that it wouldn’t pass was clearly an exaggeration, used as a high-pressure sales tactic. Lastly, the suggestion that I claim mechanical breakdown with my insurance company is just shady. And he was quite pushy in suggesting it, saying: “OK John, here’s what you’re going to do. You’re going to get off the phone with me and call up your insurance company and tell them…” Personally, I don’t appreciate being talked to like that.

In sum, my advice is: bring your car to be serviced somewhere else.

I couldn't have gotten better treatment and price in the whole tristate area, and I did shooped around. Vinnie Savino and his manager Alex are a rare bred of exceptional car sales people that really care for their customer to make sure you walk out happy and with the car that you need not what is best for the dealer shop that day. That's why I'm a returning customer and will be so long as these guys are there.

Absolutely the best dealership experience I've had throughout my search for a car. As a first time car buyer Jonathan Smith has been extremely helpful. From the beginning he has been honest, fair and very accommodating. I found the Mazda 6 online and gave the dealership a call, they offered me a more than fair quote and they have since gone beyond my expectation. I had many questions and Jonathan did everything he could to get me answers. I was looking to purchase a used Mazda 6 so naturally I had some concerns, but but he stood by his word and made sure everything was in order the way I liked. I got a VERY good deal on he perfect car and got more than my moneys worth in peace of mind. I absolutely recommend looking for Jonathan Smith if purchasing at Manhattan Auto, he is a real laid-back guy, great representative of the dealership. Also, he is extremely accessible for questions and concerns and he always answers his phone, which to me is priceless. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the dealership AND working with Jonathan Smith I can not thank him enough for all he as done to accommodate my concerns. He has bent over backwards to make sure I leave happy and I could not be happier with the car and the service provided.
