My Review Of Autoplex Imports:

AUTOPLEX IMPORT SCAM ALERT! INSULTING! CROOKS!! SCAM ALERT! David the manager will finish your deal and he is the fastest talking used car salesman I have ever heard. He wouldn't even send the title of the car I bought to my bank until they threatened him with court action. The car I bought through EBAY from them had many things wrong with it and they said there was nothing wrong with it. Even had holes in the converable top that was said to be like new. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE LIARS! I had to deal with 4 differant sales people after I paid for the car and couldnt get anything backed up by them. Now they are not selling on EBAY so I cant give them a bad review on EBAY. AUTOPLEXIMORTS PEOPLE ARE CROOKS! I could go on and on about how bad these crooks are but I think you got the message. If I could give Autoplex any lower of stars than one, I would. They should not be allowed to sell cars by the state. CROOKS!!!!!! I bought a $12,000 car for $11,000 so I thought I was OK with the deal. Now after paying to fix everything that was wrong with the car when I received it, it has cost me $14,000. I was promised that the car was perfect. They shipped it to me so I didn't see it before it arrived at my house. Two holes in a convertable roof. They had even put a used battery in the car and the ground wire was just stuck in a hole on the inside of the fender that wasn't made for a wire. Two braces above the battery that leads to the fenders were not even replaced after they put this junk battery in. Horible safety hazard. I could go on and on, but I hope you get the hint by now. Don't believe these guys.

My Review Of Autoplex Imports:

I bought a volvo s60 with very low milage at acompetitively low price from autoplex in 2009. I am not a luxury car kind of guy, but I jumped on the opportunity because the service was great and the staff was very knowledgable about the cars. I had a great experience and in 2011 my wife and I returned to buy another car. The service and the car was just as good as my 1st visit in 2009.

My Review Of Autoplex Imports:

Dwight was a very good sales representative! David understood we came in with a price and a certain interest rate in mind, and given our credit history he was able to work with us. The bank that approved our loan approved it with conditions and David spoke with the manager and they approved the loan for our asking price and rate. If you car shopping you should just stop in and see Dwight. As far as the previous review they showed us our car fax and in all honesty isn't it the responsibility of the car buyer to research? I would and will return for future car buying.

My Review Of Autoplex Imports:

The biggest pro of this dealer is they have generally very nice mid market imports for really low prices. They do conduct themselves professionally on the phone but there are several things I refuse to overlook in my brief dealings with them.

I did much of my dealings over the phone as I live 2 hrs and 15 minutes from the dealership. I personally dealt with all four people of that company - Ken, Carlos, Abdul and David

First, I did send every bit of information I was asked to send when I was asked to send it and then some and still nothing could be worked out - not all of that is the fault of theirs, but to my lack of credit depth - still the time frame they tried to work in was sluggish at best. I mainly felt as though I was being told "we'll call you in a few minutes" in an effort to buy themselves some time. Generally I perceive 'a few minutes; to be anywhere from 10-30 minutes and in most cases I was not called back at all and resorted to calling them. Frequently there seemed to be an inter-company communication break down - for example On Monday I was told that David was negotiating with banks that day, yet on Tuesday David himself said he didn't work Monday - so I'll give someone the benefit of the doubt and write it off as miscommunication because I really would hate to think I had been lied to about something as simple as someone calling a bank. Another example was I was told David was being handed my file at about 2:15pm on Tuesday, then about an hour later David told me he needed to pull it. Finally, I was repeatedly told "yes, we can get approval", or "approval is no problem, we'll have everything at noon for you to come down and you'll be done in no time" - yet here it is 3pm and David says "I still don't know if I can get approval". I no longer have the desire to think of giving business to you, no matter how much I liked to car.

I also discovered in the vehicle I was interested in that there had been a collision and an odometer rollback which they were unwilling to send me copies to verify on - I had to come across this through a different dealership. With that info I tested Autoplex Imports and their integrity by asking for that information to be made available to me and they would not send me the actual reports but gave me 'their word' that the car was fine. When it comes to a car being sold at just under 11K and KBB lists it at 15K, 'their word' is better placed in the form of the actual autocheck and carfax reports.

During the last two days of dealing with them I made if perfectly clear that I was going to close my window of purchase and exactly when that would occur. That window was over 36 hours away from when I told them and in the end I still ended up holding it upon for at least another hour only to be told that they really hadn't done much to try and get me in a car. I didn't even try to haggle the price - I simply made clear that there was X amount of money I could not exceed and I was not overly concerned about high interest rate.

So, while David or others may think or feel as though 'they did everything', it was apparent that proper files that I offered and was asked to send did not make it to the destination in a manner indicative of a group of auto sellers who 'wake up to sell cars'.

As consumer who was in desperate need of a car though a time frame of a week with at least my end of open and truthful communication I cannot in good moral standing recommend this dealership to really anyone unless they plan on going to the dealership and buying the car outright, and even then I am reluctant to do so.

I'm sure as far as individual people they are fine and upstanding, but as a company I'm inclined to feel similarly.
