My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I came in this week because I got an advertisement from VW for a $25 gift car just for test driving a car. I was greeted at the front door by Miles Mcninch and he had a big smile. I spent two evenings at the dealership, 1st night we were trying to find a car and appraise my trade-in. The next evening I test drove the 2013 passat and fell in love with it and once it came time for the deal the finance manager and GM would not accept my offer and they told me the car could only be sold at MSRP along with 0% financing and that they could not accept anything less than MSRP along with 0% interest for 66 months. I ended up going to VW Autonation in Richardson the next day for getting an outstanding deal for just over invoice price for the same vehicle.

Overall he was very friendly, and professional and I would reconsider coming back to the dealership to buy a car from him as long as he can get a competitive approved for me.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I was looking for a specific used car. I arrived at the dealership with the stock number in my hand. That was the car, the only car I wanted to see. I made it very clear I was not looking for a new car.

After test driving the vehicle, the sales person sat us down and said he'd be back. I assumed he went to grab the car info to discuss details. After 30 minutes of waiting, he came by to tell us it would take a bit longer to come up with prices. When I asked "what prices," he said they are printing a price comparison of the used car vs. a new one. When I told him I did not want a new car and not to print any such prices he walked away. Not only did he walk away and let us sit there over an hour total, but he turned us over to another sales guy!
We repeated the same to our newly appointed sales person. A few minutes later, the used car sales manager came in and brought 2 price sheets. The next 15 minutes was spent on poorly presented number games to which we did not submit and challenged some of those numbers with a response. The moment we responded back, and for the fourth time said, we did NOT want a new car...he, the used car sales manager, said the car we want was a bad deal and there would be no negotiations on the price :-) Basically, he did not want to sell us the used car.

I am so glad I walked away from this dealership that day! I bought my car at AutoNation in Richardson and couldn't have had a better experience!!! The Volkswagen Lewisville location has much to learn about professionalism, efficiency and honesty.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

Things started out okay, in fact we thought they were very nice and helpful, but once the transaction was over and we learned that they sold us the wrong car because of misleading advertising, (a lower model for a higher model price), they treated us like we were in the wrong. We were shopping online for a specific trim/model of a vehicle and they had a listing that fit all of our search parameters. We went to the dealership believing that we were shopping for the vehicle that they had advertised -- our intention was to make sure it was running well and we would be happy with the purchase. However, come to find out, they had advertised the higher model but they actually sold us the lower model (a $5,000+ difference in MSRP). That same night when we made the discovery, we immediately called them. Their response was -- oh, that must have been a mistake on the listing... there's nothing we can do about that. And according to them, since we had spent time with them at the dealership, we "should have asked more questions" to verify what we were shopping for was what they had listed. It was a used vehicle, the ONLY ONE of its kind on the lot. So it wasn't like we had looked at a lot of the same vehicles but different models -- they falsely advertised the one they had. They purportedly pride themselves on customer service and how "honest" they are in their dealings with customers... don't believe it for a minute! They wouldn't take the vehicle back nor would they reimburse us for the difference in price from what they should have charged for the lower model.

This was my experience -- please take my advice and do not give them your business. I would hate for them to take advantage of anyone else like they did to us.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I am not pleased with Lewisville Volkswagen. I had gone in for a 'Service Now' light on my vehicle. I only drive 200 miles a week. I had only put on about 1200 miles since my last oil changed with the correct oil were I usually have oil changes done. I received a quote of slightly over 500.00 for the service on my EOS. I said I had the oil changed 6 weeks earlier and did not want my oil changed.

When I came in to pick up my car I was charge over 600.00 for the services. They had changed my oil only after 1200 miles which showed on the sticker on my car. They did not listen to me when I said I did not want a oil changed, I am very disappointed. They said they would put a free oil change on my account for next time? The first time I took my EOS in this spring I received great service under warranty. Now they are adding charges not requested. Not a good business at all.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I realize that different customers can have totally different experiences.
Mine was very bad, and I will not return to this dealership ever.

I contacted them about a new VW...the 2013 Fender Beetle.
The sticker price was published on the VW website at a pricey $28,130.
Well, I wanted the car, so I was willing to pay it.

Salesman found a car I wanted and I sent authorization for a non-refundable deposit.
Then, salesman told me that since this was a new and harder to get model, there would be a "market adjustment" charge of $2500.

Wow.

I felt like this was price gouging. Perhaps they sensed that I was the sort of person that would just go ahead and pay this. Perhaps I should have just come back and said, "I will pay sticker price and no more". But it made me angry so I just canceled the deal. Fortunately, at least they let me out of the deposit.

I am not saying that what they did was illegal. But the very next dealership I called offered me the exact same car at sticker price, no "market adjustment".
People usually hope to get a new car for a bit less than sticker price. I certainly never had to pay thousands more than sticker. Might as well have been bidding on ebay.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

This is my 3rd CC I have leased from these guys. The process is always really simple and quick, which I love since I don't have a lot of time to be hanging out at a dealership. The sales staff and managers are all very friendly. I recommend them to anyone who needs a car, new or used!

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I have bought 5 cars from Lewisville VW. The laid- back atmosphere with the whole tie-die thing is cool. They seemed to have more cars than the other dealers that I checked out. The entire process was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

Service is usually a hassle. Many times things are forgotten or not serviced properly the first time, requiring a repeat visit. Record keeping in service department is an issue, and you will have to argue or complain for a covered item to be repaired under warranty.

My Review Of Lewisville Volkswagen:

I don't know where to begin - - the integrity of this dealership is something you don't find much in the industry. They ALWAYS go the extra mile to take care of you. My next VW purchase will definitely be from this dealership. LOVE!!! I have/had a 2005 New Jetta and always had it serviced here, after moving to TX from out of state. I was worried I would not find the same level of service I had experienced at my MN dealership, where I had purchased three VWs over the years, but this dealership is fantastic. HIGHLY recommend!
