This was our first experience with this dealership. It took three days for me to settle on a vehicle and make a purchase. We felt no pressure to buy from them, however they were able to confidently answer any questions. If their after-sales service continues to be impressive, we will probably be purchasing another vehicle from them soon.
Purchase of a mini-van - Montana
I learned this morning of a 2004 Pontiac Montana mini-van that was in exceptional condition at Lavery Automotive in Alliance, OH. I was introduced to salesman, Craig Vicars, upon arriving at the dealership. Being impressed by the vehicle, I arranged with Craig to drive it to my wife's place of employment for her approval, as it was to be her vehicle, and also arranged to have it inspected by my mechanic. I had the van for about 6 hours. When I returned to the dealership, I made an offer, received a fair counter and purchased the van.

Bought a 2014 GMC Acadia Denali. Vehicle looked excellent at first glance. I had mentioned that the one tire looked a little low. Salesman reassured me that everything was looked over before putting it up for sale. Took a short test drive and seemed ok. Salesman and manager kept coming up with reasons to give me less for the trade in as well. Typical used car salesmen. Got 10 miles down the road and the tire pressure warning came on. Not only that but the rotors were warped. 2 nails in the back passenger side tire. The cherry on top, there was a dead mouse in the cabin air filter along with numerous leaves and other debris. Must have gotten in from the warped molding around the windshield. Certified my xxx! These guys didn't look over that vehicle very well. They cleaned it up and slapped a sticker on the window,

I found GMC to be truly exceptional. I was impressed with the people, and the quality and timeliness to respond. i started at a dealership a touch closer, however it took 4 days to just get a serious response. I highly recommend this Merino Dealership.

No Salesmen on the lot, drove around twice, then parked and walked around, Jared was the only one to come out, invited us in and offered us bottled water, it was a hot day. We waited and finally asked three different times for water and never got any the whole time we were there. For the most part we sat waiting with no magazines or tv. Pretty much bought the first car we tried. Was rushed through finance, and she, Bonnie was not very friendly. As far as the car, I love it so far and am very pleased with it, I just believe you could have better customer service. Jared was friendly, just didn't seem to care about our comfort.

Having researched and shopped for a specific vehicle I found what I was looking for at Ganley GMC (Pete Bauer GMC). Given the drive distance I called to see if the vehicle was available and had a couple followup questions ahead of making the trek to Strongsville, OH. The sales person confirmed the vehicle was available but failed to return my call with answers to 2 simple questions. I followed up 6 hours later and was told that he was too busy but would call me back in 10 minutes. Never returned my call. Rather than continue to wait I contacted a dealer in Cincinnati OH with the same vehicle, got my questions answered and bought the vehicle from Cincy the next day. Bad communication, poor customer service and indifference to my objectives cost Ganley a cash sale.

I researched the vehicle I wanted and contacted 7 different dealers to request pricing. I did a lot of homework on dealer invoice, fees, etc. and have purchased various other new cars before, so I knew what to watch for. Of ALL the dealerships I worked with, only Chuck Nicholson was willing to work with me on all aspects, everyone else wanted to charge delivery fees, documentation fees (at the state maximum), etc. Kevin was up front with me from day one about all charges. I will look to Chuck Nicholson in the future for other purchases as well.
Note regarding documentation fees: The state of Ohio has merely capped the documentation fees at $250 (currently). This fee is supposed to cover paperwork associated with the purchase of a new car - title, financing, etc. per the Attorney General's office. The state has capped this gouging to $250 (though many dealerships are wanting this cap raised) but this is by far not mandatory. Chuck Nicholson charged only $98 for the documentation fees and no destination, advertising, delivery, etc. fees.

I was extremely pleased with the sales representative, Rick Supeck, as he was interested in what I needed and did his best to provide the best assistance to help me achieve that goal and he did not attempt to talk me into something that I did not need.
I have purchased vehicles from Joyce Buick in the past and I must say that I was not at all happy with their service, or their attitude. I feel that the service that Joyce offers at this time is excellent and I would happily recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle.
