Terrible service from the service department. - kayakjohn
Call the service department to see about a side airbag that went off for no reason while driving down the highway. Honda of Clear Lake was called specifically as they had done the factory recall work on the airbag issues a year ago (1/2016). Service clerk would not honor or look into issue without a diagnostic fee. The service department seemed to be putting up a wall and distancing themselves from this work they had done in the past. I have had several cars in the past with airbags and not once has any of them have gone off without reason to. Bottom line is why did it go off for no reason? To find out why for my safety and the safety of my passengers. It appears that Honda of Clear Lake may have done faulty recall work and they do not want to own up to it because it would be a monetary loss for them. I had just wanted Honda of Clear Lake to look into the problem as they are responsible for it as they did the past recall work on it, but the service clerk did not want to touch this without a diagnostic fee knowing it could be there fault for sure. Honda of Clear Lake why don't you honor your work and have a look at the issue to see what happened before grabbing at my wallet especially with a problem involving safety and the work was done by their mechanics. Poor poor customer service. No resolution. Had to hang up and call Honda corporate. Hopefully I will get a resolution from corporate. They got a 1 star from me because I could not give them a 0 or negative star rating.

I went in to buy a honda ridgeline. But I was way upside down on used car I was in already. Was told other dealer I need $5,000.00 down with trade. Did not get ridgeline. But salesman got me out of bad car and into a 2014 nissan frontier with $0.00 down out of my pocket. Best sales man Brett Bailey and manager team I ever worked with. Do NOT purchase your vehicle at Spring Branch Honda. In hopes of finding the perfect car upon college graduation, my father went to Spring Branch Honda to fulfill this mission. We were looking for a 2017 Honda CR-V which we had previously seen in Honda of Katy but were trying to get at a better price. The sales person which assisted my father, Calvin Tran, deceived my father into thinking he was getting a great deal. The vehicle report (papers that are shown on the dashboard of the vehicle) Calvin initially showed my father stated the vehicle was worth ~ $36,000. My father negotiated $33,000 and Calvin came back with a counteroffer of ~$33,250. Thinking this was a great deal my father took it immediately.
Coming back home and reviewing all the paperwork, we saw the actual vehicle report that belonged to the Honda CR-V. We saw the Honda was actually valued at $33,295. At first, we thought this was the incorrect paperwork, however we checked the VIN number of the vehicle and it matched the vehicle report. The so called “deal” was only $45 dollars off.
It was VERY humiliating and upsetting for my father to realize he had been tricked that way. Honesty is extremely important in any situation, especially when making such a big purchase. The next morning, my father went to Spring Branch Honda to complain about what he had just found out. He tried to confront the sales person about what he did to him but the staff lied about him not being at work. One of the managers tried to help my father and apologized profusely about the situation. He even gave him his word that he would deduct $2,000 from the deal because of what happened. He mentioned that he was not the Senior Manager thus the deal had to be made the following day. Less than three hours later, the manager called me telling me the deal did not go through. He did not even have the courtesy to talk to my father first who was the one he made the deal with.
Long Story Short, Do NOT buy your vehicle here. The dealership does NOT care about the customers and will do whatever they can to scam you. If you want honest people and great customer service, go elsewhere.

Timing Belt replacement - Frans
Timing belt replaced as per recommended interval
Clattering noise at startup which disappears in 3-4 minutes after startup indicating a faulty timing belt tensioner . Belt water pump and seals replaced but NOT the tensioner . This being a kind of major overhaul why not replace the tensioner ??? Now 20 thousand mile later all needs to be replaced again?? This is the worded dealer ship service ever encountered
The Service representative is trying to charge me for a new full belt replacement job? I beg your pardon 20 thousand mile and it is actually not done right in the first place? Forgetting or just not replacing one of the major components during a timing belt change? Come on let's get real this is BAD BAD BAD ! It is also not the first time we have bad service work done on this car .
Gillman Honda Review - Gillman Honda Review
The vehicle sticker, sales and finance department said the Nitro package was on my car. The Nitrogen package included nitrogen filled tires and a road hazard warranty that covered the tires and wheels in case of damage. I was told that it is already on the car. I did not think it was smart to pay for nitrogen when 78% of the air we breath is nitrogen. That sounded like a scam. However, it included the tire and wheel road hazard.
On December 3rd at about 5:30, a bolt punctured my car tire while driving. I called the Honda dealership about an hour before they closed requesting assistance. They told me that they would have to find my paperwork and call me back. They didn't call back so I called them. They told me that I would have to deal with it on Monday because they were closed on Sunday. I called on Monday and the person that checked my contract folder said there was nothing in it about a warranty, not even the extended warranty that is separate from the Nitro package. I asked to speak with Crystal (sales manager) and she claimed that I got such a good deal on the car that there was not Nitro package warranty. I told her it was on the sticker and sales contract. She told me that there was nothing she could do for me. I then called the main office and spoke with Stacey Gillman's assistant, Debi Adams, and she told me she was going to call Aldo Cortes, the manager at Gillman Ft. Bend. Gillman Ft. Bend responded with an offer to try and repair the tire this one time as a courtesy. My response is that I have a warranty and they need to honor that warranty today and in the event of any future problem as specified in the warranty.
Gillman Honda has breached our agreement for purchase by refusing to honor it in it's entirety. They have neglected to honor our agreement and have deliberately defrauded me out of money.

Best and most painless car buying experience I have ever had. Salesman knew what I wanted and between himself and the manager they made it happen in very little time. No haggling, just awesome customer service, and was even greeted with a handshake from the owner. Not to mention after coming home with the car I received a thank you gift of cookies and a card. I would recommend this dealer to everyone in the Clear Lake area. I have been a loyal Honda customer since 2001 and I wouldn't go anywhere else but Classic Honda in Galveston in the future.
