One of our first contacts after Hurricane Harvey was to our Russell and Smith salesman, Ian Nylander. Two days after the flood, I emailed Ian to let him know we lost all our vehicles and needed to purchase a new vehicle immediately. He promptly replied, stating the dealership had not reopened yet after the storm but it would reopen the next morning. He stated he would meet with us first thing in the morning. He asked us which vehicle we wanted to purchase so he could have one ready to look at. We arrived the next morning and we were able to leave with our new CRV within 2 hours to now tackle the job of our flooded home. Today, we returned and purchased an excellent condition, low mileage, pre-owned Civic that had just been received at the dealership. The longest part of the process today was selecting which of the available pre-owned Civics we wanted to purchase. Karan Patel assisted us with financing again today and he was very efficient. The amount of time spent on the actual sale was less than one hour including financing. Since we are still very busy with home repairs, that was very important to us. Russell and Smith Honda and our salesman, Ian Nylander, have been a pleasure to work with and we will be returning to purchase a third Honda once we receive our insurance settlement from the flood damage to our previous cars (all Hondas from Russell and Smith).

I requested the service department work on my 2012 Mazda Miata. The mechanic pulled the transmission and replaced my clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and back seal. The cost was as predicted, the mechanic work was completed faster than I could have imagined, and all were friendly and courteous--a perfect experience.

I went in to buy a honda ridgeline. But I was way upside down on used car I was in already. Was told other dealer I need $5,000.00 down with trade. Did not get ridgeline. But salesman got me out of bad car and into a 2014 nissan frontier with $0.00 down out of my pocket. Best sales man Brett Bailey and manager team I ever worked with. Would recommend anyone to buy from streater smith honda!

We bought a new CRV on June 1, 2015 and asked our salesman if the 5 yr warranty we had bought the previous year on our 2009 Honda would transfer. He told us not but they would refund us the unused portion. The man in finance said both of our warranties had expired on mileage. Which was not possible since our 2009 Honda only had 50000 miles when we traded it in on June 2015, a year after the first warranty would have expired in August 2014. He said my next warranty had expired on mileage, that was impossible because it was less than a year old. That gentleman also kept trying to sell us a 72,000 mile warranty on our new car, I told him repeatedly I wanted 60,000 miles.When I got home, he had changed some of the contract to 60,000 but some of it was 72,000 miles. I complained on a comment letter that was sent and apparently it went to Honda. My salesman, who we like and both of our last two cars from, called me and said Honda wanted me to come in and talk to the finance manager. I ask for the manager but was sent a sales person from finance to tell me he was not available, could he help me. So I explained the problem and looked at the computer and told me that the first warranty had expired on miles (not true) and the second one was only for a year and 36000 miles and had expired on miles. First, it was for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Even if it had been as he said, it had not been a full year and we had not put 15,000 miles in a year on the car. As far as he was concerned that was the end of it. Maybe because we are older, they thought we wouldn't know any better. By the way on the 2015 Honda that I have been driving since June 1, 2015, I only have just over 8,000 miles on the car. As much as we liked our sales person, I will not buy another car from this dealership.

Very disorganized. I was very unimpressed with them for the whole 2 weeks they had my 2017 hrv in their shop it came back with a big gash on the dashboard and the manager says "all our tools are plastic so idk how that could have happened" my dashboard is basically a hard foam. Even a plastic fisher price tool set could have made that gash. Long story short, they're a pain to deal with and no one takes any initiative.

This dealer is bad customer service. They try to cheat and void the warranty for my battery. I bring the orginal Honda battery which has 100 months limit warranty to him and they try to refuse my warranty even the battery just been from 4/2015. Thi express services center Supervisor said I have to have my receipt with my name on that and because my car not by the Honda battery from this dealer. That's why they are not give me the warranty. First of all, who will keep the receipt for 100 months. Second is does anyone has the receipt with exact their name on that if some one gave battery to them. This supervisor just try to deny the warranty, he doesn't know exact limit warranty on the battery work. So rude , so disappointed with this dealer. I will never come back this dealer to buy any car or anything.

Best and most painless car buying experience I have ever had. Salesman knew what I wanted and between himself and the manager they made it happen in very little time. No haggling, just awesome customer service, and was even greeted with a handshake from the owner. Not to mention after coming home with the car I received a thank you gift of cookies and a card. I would recommend this dealer to everyone in the Clear Lake area. I have been a loyal Honda customer since 2001 and I wouldn't go anywhere else but Classic Honda in Galveston in the future.
