Added warranties without telling me - Peter C.
I was supposed to pay cash for a used car last December, but was convinced by finance officer to get a loan to build my credit. Then I was told I can only make 2k down payment for loan to be approved. Then he added 3 warranties totaling a little over $2000 WITHOUT INFORMING ME.
I already complained (was told finance officer was no longer connected with them) and talked with Coxi. 2 of 3 warranties were canceled. Talked with GM and he did a good job reiterating it was my fault for signing loan agreement without double checking the fine print. Then I was given a hard time regarding the 3rd warranty. Still, he gave his word that amount for 3rd warranty will be reimbursed. This was early January and it is now April. Where is it???
It is indeed my fault for not checking the loan agreement. I live 90+ miles away, been there whole day and just wanted to go home and get the transaction over with and I trusted them. However, for the Honda of Clear Lake management to push the blame entirely on me must mean it's acceptable if I didn't notice it? Is this the moral standard you hold your employees to? A finance officer's job is clear-cut - it's to facilitate payment/loans and explain it to customers, including additional services and expenses isn't it? Having missed mentioning $2000+ worth of warranties added because there were too many things happening during that transaction is not an excuse when it is clearly part of his job.

I went in to buy a honda ridgeline. But I was way upside down on used car I was in already. Was told other dealer I need $5,000.00 down with trade. Did not get ridgeline. But salesman got me out of bad car and into a 2014 nissan frontier with $0.00 down out of my pocket. Best sales man Brett Bailey and manager team I ever worked with. I brought my 2017 Accord for service today and I was astounded. Dan met me at 7 am, checked me in within 10 mins, brought a loaner car to me, and the service was performed on time and was ready for me to pick up as promised. I bought this vehicle in October and everything about Honda Cars of Katy has been amazing then and since. I'm impressed and will continue driving one and a half hours every time I need service and a new car. Thank you. Don't stop paying attention to the customer.

I went to 3 Honda dealerships in Houston to buy my new Honda Accord touring version.
After visiting all 3 dealers, I chose to buy from Spring Branch Honda.
1. Everyone (sales and management) seemed to want my business
2. My sales person (Daniel) worked hard to get me to buy a car
3. Their first price was fair - sure I got it down more but it was a good starting point
4. The management team emailed me and thanked me for visiting
I now have most of the management team's names, emails and phone numbers if I have a problem in the future
5. Their finance department was quick, efficient and explained things clearly.
So shop around - visit at least 3 dealerships. Then you will notice a big difference in the dealerships. Everyone here is smiling and happy. They seem to love their jobs.
They will make you feel like you are their #1 customer.
Terrible used car sales experience - ME17
We had a terrible used car sales experience. Buyer beware! They tried to add some bogus fee on top of the advertised car price and they use aggressive sales tactics. We checked with other Honda dealerships around town and none of them add this bogus fee.
Gillman Honda Review - Gillman Honda Review
The vehicle sticker, sales and finance department said the Nitro package was on my car. The Nitrogen package included nitrogen filled tires and a road hazard warranty that covered the tires and wheels in case of damage. I was told that it is already on the car. I did not think it was smart to pay for nitrogen when 78% of the air we breath is nitrogen. That sounded like a scam. However, it included the tire and wheel road hazard.
On December 3rd at about 5:30, a bolt punctured my car tire while driving. I called the Honda dealership about an hour before they closed requesting assistance. They told me that they would have to find my paperwork and call me back. They didn't call back so I called them. They told me that I would have to deal with it on Monday because they were closed on Sunday. I called on Monday and the person that checked my contract folder said there was nothing in it about a warranty, not even the extended warranty that is separate from the Nitro package. I asked to speak with Crystal (sales manager) and she claimed that I got such a good deal on the car that there was not Nitro package warranty. I told her it was on the sticker and sales contract. She told me that there was nothing she could do for me. I then called the main office and spoke with Stacey Gillman's assistant, Debi Adams, and she told me she was going to call Aldo Cortes, the manager at Gillman Ft. Bend. Gillman Ft. Bend responded with an offer to try and repair the tire this one time as a courtesy. My response is that I have a warranty and they need to honor that warranty today and in the event of any future problem as specified in the warranty.
Gillman Honda has breached our agreement for purchase by refusing to honor it in it's entirety. They have neglected to honor our agreement and have deliberately defrauded me out of money.

Best and most painless car buying experience I have ever had. Salesman knew what I wanted and between himself and the manager they made it happen in very little time. No haggling, just awesome customer service, and was even greeted with a handshake from the owner. Not to mention after coming home with the car I received a thank you gift of cookies and a card. I would recommend this dealer to everyone in the Clear Lake area. I have been a loyal Honda customer since 2001 and I wouldn't go anywhere else but Classic Honda in Galveston in the future.
