Would not think of going to another dealer in the Iowa, South Dakota, or Minnesota area. The friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have found.

Poor service, Will not work with customers. - Frustrated
I went to view a F-150. I have a mechanical background and wanted to inspect the vehicle myself. I thanked them for the report they provided me but asked that I inspect the ballpoints with the mechanics. At this request I continually received pushback from the sales rep. After persisting that I would not buy a vehicle without inspecting it, they accommodated my request. Through the inspection the sales rep continually questioned my need to inspect the vehicle. Their report in the battery was that it was in good condition but did not hold a charge. This clearly indicates the need of a battery needing to be replaced but they would not do this. The vehicle was in good condition besides the battery and I wanted to purchase the vehicle. I was going to put down $6k on the vehicle, have all the finances arranged before leaving and come pick up the vehicle a few days later with a friend. Financing was approved and I thought I had bought a truck. This dealership however informed me that unless I picked up the vehicle the next day they would sell it to the next interested customer even though I would have money down on the vehicle and had an agreed upon purchase agreement. The problem with this is, to get the $6 I was going to sell my current vehicle that night to an arranged buyer. If they sold the vehicle from underneath me, I would be left without a vehicle. After much arguing back and forth I ended up standing up and walking out. Their comment was, "you have to work with us". Nowhere in this exchange did I feel the company was working with me. Very disappointed the dealership was not willing to accommodate my purchase agreement and plans to pick up the vehicle. Customer service was not customer focused. Their vehicle inspection passed obvious deficiencies as acceptable.
No hassle car buying - TGrable
First off they were one of the few dealers I contact who would work with me on a the price I was looking for. Next they did everything they could to make the experience pleasant. They didn't pressure me to purchase a lot of extra's and were very receptive to my own requests. After getting the vehicle home I noticed a few issues. The Horn was no working and one of the read leather seats was a little baggy. When I called to voice this concern they immediately did all they could to get me in and make it right.
My salesman was Jim Adler, he went the extra mile to keep me happy and earn my business. I would highly recommend him and White Bear Lincoln for anyone looking for a new/used Ford or lincoln.

My experience with Ellsworth Ford, and Larry Anderson (President) was one of the worst experiences I've had in dealing with auto service. I had brought my Lincoln LS (with under 100,000 miles) in for a routine service: an oil change, diagnostics on the cruise control, and diagnostics on the shift solenoid (would sometimes not shift from 3rd to 4th gear). These were, or so I thought, fairly safe and simple tasks. I drove my vehicle in to Ellsworth Ford and dropped them off the keys. I returned an hour later, and was informed that they were still working on the vehicle. As I sat in the lobby waiting area, I could hear what sounded like a very rough running tractor turning over and not starting. When I asked what the loud noise was, the attendant informed me that it was my vehicle and it wasn't starting. I immediately told them to stop whatever they were doing, and before they did anything further they were to ask my permission. Shortly thereafter, the manager on duty (Larry Anderson) came out and asked me what my problem was. I informed him that when I wanted to know exactly what happened to my vehicle, why it's no longer running, and what was going on. He then informed me that they were trying to diagnose the problem as to why it wasn't running. He did not understand the fact that I had not brought it in for engine issues, and that I had driven it in with absolutely no engine or mechanical issues. Larry then informed me that I had two options, I could either: Pay them to diagnose/repair the engine Have them push it out of the shop and have it towed away at my expense I then informed him that neither of those options worked for me, and that I expected him to work with me to resolve this issue. His response included calling me stupid, and kicking me out of his dealership. I then phoned the police, and informed them of the incident. They came, and spoke to Larry (who had my vehicle in his shop still) and ended up pushing the vehicle out of the shop. No citations were given due to the civil nature of the complaint. I then had to pay a flatbed towtruck to come and tow my vehicle to a local mechanic in Ellsworth. A few days later, I was given the diagnosis that the engine was no longer good. I then had to pay for another tow back to my house (30 miles 1 way). The car has sat in my garage (not running) since. I drove my vehicle in to have a diagnosis on several minor, non-mechanical issues and end up with a ruined engine. It's very shocking to me how I can go from having a Lincoln LS with under 100k miles, that was running perfectly, and had been taken great care of, to having the engine ruined while in their care, and later have it pushed out of their shop at my expense like a piece of trash. Larry Anderson and Ellsworth Ford had made little to no effort in making this right for us. They refused to fix, pay for, or partially pay for the cost to repair the engine. Larry has been anything but helpful, respectful, or professional. My experience at Ellsworth Ford was something that I hope nobody else goes through. I would HIGHLY WARN anyone who decides to either have their vehicle serviced at Ellsworth Ford, or buy a vehicle from Ellsworth Ford simply because of how Larry Anderson had treated me, a valuable customer. My faith in Ford Dealers is not lost, however. I actually purchased another Lincoln from the Eau Claire, WI Ford Dealership and had an absolute wonderful experience. When I had informed them of my Ellsworth Ford/Larry Anderson experience, they were appalled. I would highly recommend anyone to be VERY cautious of Ellsworth Ford, go somewhere else that is BBB accredited, has positive reviews, and values their customers. Ellsworth Ford and Larry Anderson certainly do not. Good luck.

Tried to charge me for warranty work. After I pointed out under warranty they acted mad. They did fix issue. Wonder if I would have paid how many others pay when they don't know when warranty is up

Went to dealer to test drive. Very friendly. Test drove vehicle that was defective. Touch screen was frozen, they said button was stuck. Online said only fix was to pull battery cable. So they did that and lied to me. Next tried to buy car instead of suv. They had right car, wrong color. Offered to find right car for right price. After two weeks of waiting offered car at over far over market price. 2 cars in area again wrong color but exactly the same were priced at 16900. Offered car for 18300. FunNY thing is next day car was sold. Obviously had another buyer lined up for car they went to auction to get for us and was playing me off of the price they negotiated with second buyer. asked me to put down an extra 500 down to make the loan work. Why ? Because the bank wouldn't loan that much for that over priced car ! I figured that out after calling the bank. So to sum up. Very shady treatment of customer. Was very happy and excited to find a dealer who would get us what we wanted, for a fair price. But ended up doing neither one. Bought another car from a different dealer the next day. With zero down cheaper and a newer and more optioned lower milage car. Glad I kept shopping around.

All of the employees we encountered at Waconia Ford were very friendly and there was no pressure to purchase a car. We had completed our online research and Waconia was our first dealership to visit 'in the field'. We didn't plan on buying a car that day but we found the perfect car for us at a fair price. In addition, the service was amazing and David and I felt this was the place we needed to do business. Would highly reccommend.
