Buying experience with Debbie Hefty - Lisa D
I have been fortunate in the realm of purchasing a car as most of my life I have not had to experience this horrible exercise in endurance, patience and physical discomfort.
Even with my limited car buying experience I can honestly say that my view is akin to having a root canal. The few experiences that I did have to endure were typically hours long and in most cases an all day event fraught with awful marching band music played at stadium level decibels with balloons flying all over the showroom, babies crying ( and who could blame them ) bright lights and indignant sales people.
I am delighted to report that my experience with Debbie and the staff and surroundings at Farrish were the complete opposite. Debbie is a knowledgeable, courteous professional and a pleasure to deal with. She was prepared to provide all of the information that I requested and any question that I had. I know that I was treated fairly and received a great deal. The whole experience was painless and I completed the process in about two hours from test drive to completion.
I cannot say enough about Debbie. She is a true asset to Farrish and a model sales professional that all car sales people should strive to emulate.
If you have to buy a car this is the place you should start with as I do not think you will have to visit any other dealerships.
Great experience, easy transaction, just what we wanted - mattr
Mitch is the man! He was able to find the exact vehicle we wanted with no hassle. I originally talked to Mitch a year ago, but didn't end up buying from him. The next time I needed a vehicle, he contacted me again and was super helpful. Mitch priced multiple different configurations and helped us find the best combination of options for us. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle even though it was a brand new model. If he didn't have the answer on hand, he didn't BS us with nonsense just to sell the car, but instead searched for the correct info.
Quick, friendly, competitive - good experience - jeepGCtrailhawk
Worked will Mallory and Bill. They were incredibly helpful and quick with their responses. They helped our family purchase a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk for my Mom, who lives local. There were multiple exact match vehicles in the area, but the customer service, quick responses, competitive pricing and friendliness allowed my Mom to purchase her new vehicle locally. Our family was treated like a valued customer, not a number - so important in today's market. Thank you for your help Mallory & Bill. I highly recommend others to go see what Fitzgerald Auto Mall in LP has to offer!
Had a four wheel alignment completed - Jeep2012Wrangler
This was my first time at this facility and I was pleased with my service. Service Advisor (Guy Miller) was professional and very pleasant to deal with. I did not have an appointment but Mr miller was able to have my service completed in a timely manner. I will use this service center again.
Best dealer in VA - mmoore82
When life said it's time to get a minivan I said at least I'm going to get a good deal. After contacting multiple dealers, Chrysler of Culpeper blew away the competition on price (thousands below other dealers "best offer"). What's more, while other dealers tried shady bait and switch tactics Chrysler of Culpeper was professional, direct, and honest the whole time. I happily drove down from DC to pick up the vehicle. Even when we couldn't reach a deal on a lease buyout for my KIA they offered to run the car to a local dealer to avoid me having to come back for the car. Their team was professional, honest, and blew me away with their price. Couldn't be happier.
Thanks, Andre - Michael Kaercher
I want to leave positive feedback for Andre. I brought in a car with several issues including a recall. Andre went above and beyond to take care of me and get me a way home. He was courteous, professional, and pleasant. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with him. His service has gone a long way to mending my relationship with this dealership--a relationship that had broken down and become rather disappointing.
I rated the dealership as 5 stars because i did not want a review of this associate to be tainted, and I could not review Andre without reviewing the dealership. However, my overall experience with this dealership has been quite poor and I would not recommend, though this experience has helped
Simply the best - Kerri Tyler
I took my car in for service last week. The staff there treated me with the upmost respect. Got my car in and out in a timely manner for I had to go out out town. Thank you
Good car buying experience with Ceidrick/DARCARS Rockville - donna
Ceidrick did a terrific job of cutting through the jargon of car sales and getting us the car that we had seen on line. He was responsive and knowledgeable, We would go back to him again!
Great guys, quick process! - Zac Caito
I was surprising my wife with a Jeep Gran Cherokee and needed to be discreet. Giles and Dominic were great handling what I needed. I got my payments where I needed them to be and was in and out when getting to the dealership. Everyone was professional and took care of me. They listened to what I wanted and I felt they really cared. I highly recommend them for your next car purchase.
Excellent service, fair prices & impressive sales staff! - Family Car 17
My family and I recently bought a Pacifica from Lustine. We worked with our knowledgeable salesman, Thor, who ensured that we got exactly what we wanted within our budget. The sales manager, Brandon ensured that we got a great deal. Highly recommend this team and dealer!
Stellar attention and speedy service! VIP treatment - Darmstadt16
I left in a rush out of work, around 4:30 pm in the hopes of perhaps getting to see my car in daylight (sun goes down around 5:10 here). I was greeted at the door by Mohammad Ko who from the very beginning treated me just like any other person. I'm 20 and have a baby face and showed up by myself - I was expecting to be ridiculed by salespeople and asked for the ''Sweetie, where are your parents?'' but instead I was treated just like any other independent adult without a co-applicant would be. Even better, I felt like I was always taken care of since the beginning. I didn't have to remind anyone that I was waiting on anything. I was acknowledged immediately and constantly being followed up on while the sales and finance team were working on my purchase. I got to take the car that very same day, my first car, a luxurious Chrysler, even though, just like I said, I have such a baby face and was expecting them to wait for the bank to come through fully and everything to be rock-solid. Great team. Everyone there was extremely professional and overall nice, Mohammad in particular who saw me through and through. He even drove my car home because I was too much of a chicken to drive it until my banking paperwork had been finalized! Will definitely reccommend this Ourisman dealership and this salesman in particular to anyone and will definitely comeback in the future for my next cars.
Great Buying Experience - skim
I was able to purchase my 2016 Jeep Cherokee with little problem!! I had visited 4 other dealerships and walked out each time, because they made representations that were not realized when I went in. Fefe was a man of his word and made my buying experience really great. Also, Edward was really helpful in financing. I recommend both very highly.
Rubicon Jeep - Kholbert
Dealership was professional, courteous and friendly. We really appreciated the overall experience. They're true to their word. Would recommend to my friends and family. Most of all no pressure sales.
Faboulous Experience ! Great Customer Servie! - casteels4wv
First and Foremost there are always 2 sides to a story! With that being said..Darcars (Carrollton MD) is one of the Best out there if not the Best. I had been having issues either getting financed or the payment being over the top. I found the car I wanted called and spoke with Mrs.Pat King, and the rest is history. I left the dealership with my souped up Chrysler and an affordable payment. I am sure all of the sales associate's are fabulous, although personally Mrs. Pat King is the one whom you want to deal with. She says what she means and means what she says. If she says she is getting you in the car you want with your payments reasonable she will and she can !! I will recommend DARCARS to everyone. !! Thanks so much to EVERYONE @ Darcars for making my car shopping pleasureable !!! #darcarsrock
Joseph was a great seller - Dionne89
I purchased a Dodge Challenger from this dealer and the transaction was flawless. Joseph is a great salesman and the entire staff was helpful and accommodating during my car buying experience. Would highly recommend.
Excellent sales experience - Mjjkid
I was very satisfied with the overall experience buying the car. The salesman was professional and did not bother with any of the sleazy sales tactics. I would buy from this dealership in the future.
Poor communication and makes excuses - Jeep owner
I purchased a used Jeep from a different dealer; there was an electrical problem discovered the first day I took possession. The other dealer did not want to tackle the electrical problem, since it was not their brand, so they paid to have Safford's service center complete the diagnostics and repair being Jeep specialists. I contacted Safford directly to give them a complete overview of the symptoms and told them what I thought was causing the problems.
They were very friendly at first, until they actually had the vehicle in their possession. I waited several days and called for an update, I was told it was still being diagnosed, the technician assigned to my vehicle wasn't there that day, so i requested that he call me. After no return call for more than 24hrs, I called again and was told this time the technician was at lunch and the vehicle was still being diagnosed. I requested again that he call me with an update to let me know what he has ruled out. Again no return call for more than 24hrs. I called a 3rd time, no surprise they were still diagnosing and the technician was not available. The 3rd time I was given the option to leave a voice mail for the technician and in the message I explained that I needed an update as to what was going on because I had a trip that would need to be postponed and just needed some kind of communication. Again... 24hrs, no response. I called the dealer again and was given the same runaround of it's being diagnosed and the technician is not available. At that time I demanded that someone find out what was going on and give me an update.
In response, the same girl who had been telling me for days that the Jeep was being diagnosed left a message that she had talked to the technician and they had called the dealer where I purchased the Jeep and told them what was going on and she was sorry for the inconvenience but she thought they should've called me by now. The rest of her message was that they could not diagnose my vehicle until a new battery was purchased for $400 and after that they would just start replacing control modules at $420 each until they figured out what was causing the phantom electrical issues, but they can't start diagnosing without a fresh battery... this after she told me multiple times they were already diagnosing it, then she leaves a message to say they had not even started diagnosing it because they won't do it without a fresh battery?
I called back, got the same girl, explained to her that even if they truly had called the other dealer requesting authorization to replace the battery, she should have told me the same info the numerous times I asked for an update, and that even if she had specifically requested the other dealership contact me, her technician should have responded to my numerous messages that said I had not received an update and I also told her she should not have told me they were in the process of diagnosing the symptoms of they had not even started. I demanded to speak to the technician who was servicing my vehicle, because before they start replacing random modules at $420 each I wanted to make sure they first checked what I already knew was wrong. The female transferred me to the technician who identified himself as the one who was assigned to my vehicle. During the conversation I asked about the control module and he said, "if I didn't say you need a new one then you don't need a new one" and when I asked if he had even looked at it, he said "how would I know I'm not the one working on your vehicle". This was the guy who the female employee told me WAS the technician working on my Jeep AND the male employee also identified himself as the person who was supposedly assigned the vehicle yet he passed the buck when I asked if he even checked the broken part?
At that point I asked for their manager. He immediately confirmed that what I had told them was broken was the first thing written on the ticket that needed to be replaced. The other technician said it didn't need to be replaced and that he wasn't even sure it had been looked at. The manager was fine, didn't get rude like the first two employees.
The day after bringing my vehicle home I checked under the hood, the service record says Safford performed a 23 point inspection but the coolant reservoir was bone dry. Not a drop of liquid in it. My radiator had fluid, luckily. How does a professional mechanic miss that on an inspection that includes checking fliuds? My coolant level was fine before taking it in to them. And the level hasn't changed since I refilled it so I'm not sure how it drained in the two weeks time Safford had it to begin with.
Poor communication. Deceptive responses. Passing the blame. Not giving knowledgeable responses. Rude reations to being called out on blowing me off. Two weeks to repair two 'plug n play' components that required no more than a couple screws and a reprogram of the key. All I know is nothing got done until I asked for their manager, I should've asked for him a lot sooner.
Excellent - Chryslergirl
I had bought my Chrysler from here. My salesperson was Bryan, he was really nice and informational and professional. When I finally made the decision on a car that I wanted came the fun part ( the numbers) mike and Chris had worked the numbers for me. Afterwards I went into the finance office where I had saw Kim who really was sweet and kept me at the monthly payments I wanted. In the end I was pleased that everyone was nice and helped me along the way because let's be honest car buying can be a long painful experience but it wasn't. If your looking to buy a dodge/Chrysler/jeep I would defiantly recommend going here!
Better than expected - cvgoodguy
Clean, professional dealership. Experience with salesperson, Beverly Riley, was exceptional. She is dedicated to pleasing the customer. Very conscientious and knowledgeable. Dealership tends to push too hard on aftermarket protection material and extended warranty. However "not interested" was quickly accepted. No car buying experience is pleasant,.But Safford was better than any of my previous 5 or 6. The
horrible serviCe department. - disapointed mopar fan
service department is horrible. We bought brand new journey got check engine light same week. Took it in 4 times before they finally test drove it and figured out it needed an ecm flash update. Just took it in for a recall was told one day took 4. As soon as we left the lot engine light. They blame o2 sensor. Still never once test drove it. Bunch of lazy xxxxx. Avoid this dealer at all cost!
Purchase of Jeep Renegade Sport - Dulles Mororcars Leesburg - kmartin84
Service was excellent. Was met by sales person immediately upon arrival and was given a test drive in the vehicle I had seen online and wanted to purchase. Recommendation was made with no pressure given to purchase after market parts. The sales person I worked with also was helpful on giving advice questions which helped in my purchase. Would highly recommend Dulles Motorcars in Leesburg VA to others.
Rip Off bad place to do business with - rrlalib22976
Went in to buy a truck for 26,200 with we got home and was looking over paper work I notice they charged me $2,495 more for the truck on paper work. I called and email them for 3 days and finally they called me back. They said i wasn't over charged. The $2,495 fee is a re-conditioning fee they charge on all the car and trucks. I told them no one ever told us about about this fee and no were is it posted you charge this fee. I was told be the Finance Manager that is the way it is. When I asked if I could return the truck they told me no. After you drive it off the lot we own it. And they give you a very low appraisal on our trade. When we ask why so low they said they had to take off for re-conditioning. So they got us twice for this fee. If I had seen the review before we went to there dealer ship I would have never went. Bad place to buy a car or truck from. Never again
Easy to buy - John88
I have spent hours buying a car in the past. Safford made it easy to come to terms quickly on a new Fiat 500. The car we were interested in was on their lot in Tysons, VA. They delivered it to Winchester so we could take it for a test drive locally. Safford's sales people are helpful and professional. I look forward to doing business with them again.
ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES & nothing but issues,,,, - andrea
If I could leave a zero rating I would. This dealership is absolutely horrible. I was involved in a car accident and needed a new car. I walked in with a preapproved application from Chrysler Capital. My salesman, Mike, is the only good thing about this place. I walked out the first night with my Jeep. The next day I receive a phone call from the finance manager, Megan. She needed me to come in and resign the contract, as the bank wouldn't accept it the way it was written. My husband and I went back in to sign and noticed our interest rate was HIGHER than the night before. We were financing less money than the previous night. She tried to slide the information by and did not tell us of this change. When I asked about it, she gave a bogus excuse. I made her correct the contract to the terms from the previous night.
About 1 week later, I start receiving letters from creditors in the mail. Safford Jeep had apparently run my credit through at least 7 different banks when I had already walked in with a preapproved letter, which is who I financed with.
My husband and I went up there to discuss this new issue and everyone was gone for the evening that made decisions. They call me today and state that they will not help us with the dispute process. I signed NOTHING giving them permission to run my credit anywhere.
Buyer beware and save yourself a lot of grief. Go with a reputable dealer. This one seriously conducts business illegally.
It is now almost a month after my sale and I am still running into issues, with no response or action taken from the owner or dealership. Today, I received a call from the woman who processes the tags and registrations. I gave them my Florida tag and title information, as my car had been totaled. I even filled out the tag packet MYSELF in Megan's office. I am fed up and am still awaiting answers and some action.
Total Rip-off - Never Again
Perhaps it's because I'm a woman, but ... I took my car in for inspection last Saturday. I went to Marlow strictly because I wanted it done on a Saturday. I was told I could get "right in" and waited 2-1/2 hours. The car failed inspection, which was not a surprise because I thought I might have a minor issue with squeaky breaks, and thought I might have a problem with the exhaust system. I was told I needed new front breaks, and a new exhaust system, including a "resonator", and given an estimate of $885. I could hardly breathe. I paid my $16 for a rejection sticker and left. Monday morning I took my car to an auto care service and asked them to look at it. The gentleman showed me the underside of my car. He explained that they could EASILY REPAIR the one rusted piece - flange - and that the rest of the system was just fine. No mention of a "resonator". He also said the front brakes were fine and needed pads only. The estimate was $408. I also learned the a resonator is normally installed on high-performance cars. I have a trusty 2002 Rav 4 with over 200,000 miles on it. I don't need a resonator - I have a muffler, thank you very much.
I have since heard from a number people who have verified my experience. Everyone I spoke to recommended the autocare service I went to. And everyone I know who has ever dealt with Marlow said they will never, ever go there again. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to rip people off. What a terrible disservice to the residents of Front Royal! I can't believe you're still in business. How sad.

Disappointed with them - William.long
So to start off I have recently purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram 4x4 from this location approximately 100 miles later the check engine light came on. I contact my salesman and asked why that might be. My dealer stated that the previous owner had put after market exhaust on the truck and that the exhaust he used would not match the trucks O2 censor and that is why the check engine light is on. Although I wasn't pleased with the answer given I decided to let it be and bite my lip.
Two weeks later I arrived on a Saturday morning to have the spray in bed liner installed. I removed the main bed cover which is a water seal cover to make the installation easier on the dealership. The cover has two rails with water hoses to drain water that would potentially stand on the cover itself. The dealership took both rails off the truck conducted the installation but failed to reinstall the rails so I could put my bed cover back on. In my experience with service departments if you remove an item of the truck you reinstall that item not leave them in the bed of the truck. I asked the service department why the weren't reinstalled and they stated to me that they would not be able to put them on for me and I could reinstall it myself or bring it back another day and they would take care of it. So I once again bit my lip Unsatisfied with the service. I got home 30 minutes later to discover that there was a series on small scratches above the handle to the tail gate. I contacted the dealership again on the following Wednesday to pay the remaining balance of my down payment of 3000 of the 8000 I put down. I notified the dealership that I was unhappy with the scratches and that they haven't tried to fix the problems. Later that night I was driving home from work when I heard a scraping sound coming from my truck at that time my exhaust pipe fell off and nearly caused three vehicles to wreck. I apologized to the people about the exhaust falling off almost causing a collision but was glad that no one was hurt. This could have been a very expensive law suit against the dealership if someone would have died because of there lack of inspection skills and selling a vehicle that had faulty equipment. I contacted the dealership that same night and to my surprise a salesman answered the phone and I told him what had happened. He asked me if I was going to bring the truck in and I said I would be there in the morning. I arrived expecting the dealership to seriously compensate me with several options and all I got was here's a rental car we will fix your truck and send you on your way. At this point I don't even want the truck it's faulty and has almost taken someone's life id rather they find me a truck that I like that has the same or better features and give it to me for the same price that I currently pay for the faulty truck if that can't happen I will be talking with a lawyer this afternoon.
Bait and switch beware - cheated
Car did not contain essential feature advertised and on sticker. When problem pointed out, owner became irate, claimed he made disclosures and shouted xxxxxx remarks.
Bait and Switch - bam26
Do not take you vehicle to this dealership for any repairs!!! This place is probably the shadiest that I have ever had to deal with. My wife took her car into the dealership after having problems with the ignition, the tech said there was a recall on it and then scheduled an appointment for her to have it fixed. Now when my wife takes off from work to bring the car to the dealership, there is no longer a recall on the ignition. This is either trying to take advantage of a woman and a customer or complete incompetence. Either way this place is not worth the risk in using.
What Customer Service? - DaGrinch
Bought a used Jeep Liberty from an individual and it came with only one key. I bought a blank key from an outside source and had my son go to Bender's to have the key cut and programmed. They wouldn't touch it because it wasn't a MOPAR key. I knew I was risking the blank to be bad - what difference does it make to them? They were going to be paid for their time and effort. Nope, wouldn't touch it.
This would have been the perfect opportunity for this dealership to establish a good rapport - never know, I might need parts for the used Liberty and with a good experience, there's always the possibility I'd be back. They don't have to worry about it now.
