I recently brought my car in for service. I was assigned to a service advisor. When I couldn't get in touch with this person, I heard from Rose and I was VERY happy.I don't know how she got my file but I was so thankful she did. From now on I will ask for Rose.
She kept me informed of the progress and went over all of the repairs my car needed. She was so thorough and knowledgeable.

I recently contacted Hendrick Honda online about a 2017 Civic EXT and was immediately pleased they gave me the option of communicating via text message. When I arrived at the dealership Dennis was available right away. He was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. I'm not an impulse buyer and throughout the two weeks following my initial visit, Dennis continued to help me through text with every question and request I had. I really like that he uses emojis when he texts. It made the experience more personal, especially because I bugged him so much. He was very patient and friendly. We agreed on an outstanding price, lower than I could get any other local Honda dealership to go. When I finally returned to finalize the purchase, Dennis wasn't there (which made me sad) but I then had the pleasure of working with Oscar! Dennis had left Oscar all my details and the keys to the cars in the two colors I was deciding between. Oscar was just as helpful and friendly as Dennis. Just like working with Dennis, Oscar made me feel personally taken care of. I liked that Oscar told me a little about himself in response to what he was learning about me. When it was time for me to move to financing to work with the lovely Anthony, Oscar stuck around while Anthony and I went through all the paperwork. Anthony was a pleasure to work with and made the boring paperwork less boring by making conversation, again making the experience more personal. I am also very pleased with the interest rate Anthony was able to get me; it was lower than I had expected! We finally finished up around eleven at night (I arrived pretty late) and Oscar was there waiting to personally give me the keys to my new car. Because it was so late, he and I agreed I would return for him to show me how to use all the fancy technology. I felt really bad I kept Oscar and Anthony so late, but neither of them made me feel like the pain in the neck I was. I would endlessly recommend Hendrick Honda to anyone looking to buy a Honda (especially because I had a TERRIBLE experience at Fairfax Honda, DO NOT GO THERE). When the repair could not be completed that day, I was given a ride home and picked up when the work was complete. I thought Sam was great - I would give him 5 stars.

I arrived on the premises of Shockley Honda on a weekday in the evening. I was saw a representative that was not busy so I introduced myself and she introduced herself as Krystal Swanson (I knew we would be get along just fine.) Actually, it was as if I had known her for years (she was very amiable in her demeanor.) She knew what I wanted and she immediately started working on the needs assessment for me but I already had everything in place ready to go. I had inquired about a new 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring and we looked for a car that matched my needs. We found the care that I liked with the same criteria and we began the process for the deal. We worked on the deal for about 3-4 hours and that was the end of day 1 at Shockley Honda. On Day 2 of my Honda adventure, I came back on a Saturday when the dealership opened at 9am. As usual Krystal gave me a big, warm, welcoming smile and greeted me. I changed the specifics of the deal because I had too much negative equity on the car so we decided not to trade in the original trade and pursued a different tactic. Now, we are trading in my brother's used 2011 silver corolla S with 88448 miles with a little less negative equity (about 7570 USD). We got a trade appraisal worth about 6300 USD (we agreed to the amount). My brother had signed over the car to me today and indicated that the transfer should go to me in my name. Anyways, we began a new deal and I wanted a used vehicle. Brian, the finance representative wanted me to go with a new car versus a used vehicle so I listened to his logic (I didn't quite understand), but I got the jest of it. We had to try and look for a new 2017 Honda Accord LX to have the approval odds be better for the deal in order to have it financed and approved. At this point, it is about getting the deal approved so I could finance the deal. Brian said he would work on it for today and told me that he would call me on Monday. This concludes my experience with Shockley Honda over the course of 2 days. I had a fantastic experience from start to finish on the 2nd time around! I have purchased four cars from this dealership, the first one back in the '90s, three of them used and one brand new. I have always received excellent customer service from both the sales and the service staff.
Stan Gans and Erick Alvarez worked together seamlessly with me on the purchase of a new Accord EX-L. They were both personable, not pushy in the least, and clearly wanted me to get a deal with which I would be happy. I have worked with Mr. Gans (a very senior member of the sales staff) before, so I expected and received kind, excellent service from him. Mr. Alvarez is a fairly new member of the sales team. He is very earnest and brings a fresh enthusiasm to his work with customers. I enjoyed working with both these gentlemen. In addition, Anthony Oman is the manager with whom I did all the final paper work. He was very pleasant and clear in explaining the contract and my options for warranties. I felt no pressure from him to purchase any add-ons that were not of interest to me.
I recommend this team without reservation...they are a good and trust-worthy group!

Just purchased our 4th Honda from this Bowie location and two other family members have also purchased a Honda from there. We worked with Ifiok Umoh on this purchase and he arranged an excellent price on BOTH our Honda trade in as well as the new Honda HRV we purchased. As part of the customer focused process, Ifiok took the time to explain to my wife and I ALL the features of our new HRV; he demonstrated how to use the technology (lane watch and the ability to use voice commands are great), synced the phones, and went over the users guide, and the personalized settings for the vehicle. Ifiok also urged us to contact him with any questions we had or to stop by and see him for any remedial training we needed to enjoy all the features on our HRV. The managers on duty Glenn and Rick took the time to come over and thank us for our purchase, the entire process was completed in a timely manner and Jamar lined up all of the paper work for us to sign and quickly get on our way. Should also note if you need service on your Honda see the great folks in the service department. They offer evening hours for service which works best for us and Mohamed Jalloh and his colleagues have taken great care of our Honda maintenance needs and questions. What an excellent salesperson! If you go to this dealership, please see Khalid Janah. You won't go wrong and he will work for you and go that extra mile. Though I did not buy a Honda, I may still buy one, but need to explore other options that fit my needs.
I visited this dealership three times while looking and all three he was more than willing to assist in whatever way necessary. We corresponded via email and text. I requested to not receive a phone call and he honored that. Most dealerships, call constantly and try to get you to come in as often as possible. Khalid is very laid back and knew he'd score more points by casually letting me contact him. This is much to my preference and I appreciate that.
Khalid knows, should I ultimately decide on a Honda that I will return to his dealership first to make the offer and make it worthwhile for me in returning.
Again, Khalid is a great salesperson. Ask for him when you arrive, you won't regret it!

Under normal circumstances I would not travel 20+ miles to have service performed after a new vehicle is beyond warranty. But, because of the complete service dept at Miller Honda(and especially Amy, over the years) we even come back for oil changes. That now is approaching 10 yrs with our 2008 Honda Pilot which is serving us extremely well - Thank you !!!
Poor Service, Worse Sales - hondadriver
Bought vehicle back in September and had a bad experience with the sales department both in demeanor of sales person (Jim) and sales manager (Freddie) but they also gave me a vehicle with a known defect. (front passenger door actuator broken) that makes a loud "shuddering" noise trying to lock the door every time I lock the door. Leading me to their poor service department which has tried to fix it, and did not succeed - tried to take it back to get fixed and was told technician was out on vacation and no one else could handle it and I would have to wait a week.
Additionally frustrating - even though I came in with a pre-approved loan from my bank the finance manager ran my credit against several other banks causing my credit score to be negatively affected.
Overall - very bad - would not recommend, and wish I had not gone there in the first place.

I originally went in and picked out a car that I wanted but didn't have all of my ducks in a row (my fault) and the car was sold before I returned with all of my paperwork. I was obviously really upset (b/c in my mind that was my dream car) BUT the following day, I spoke with the manager Tanya about what happened and she made it her business to find me the car that I wanted, AND for the price of the car that I originally picked out. I've only had my car for about 48hrs (If that) but I am extremely happy with the customer service there and their ability to help turn my not-so-great experience into a wonderful one. I will definitely be seeing you guys for all of my servicing needs!
