My Review Of Seeger Toyota Scion:
I originally emailed this dealership because of the excellent service I consistently received from the maintenance/service department at the Seeger Toyota in St Robert, MO (I've owned a Tundra and a Camry in the past). Just over two years ago, I moved to the Metro St Louis area for my job. The Toyota dealership less than 2 miles from my house (which I will keep from naming at this time) had "average" customer service, but kept charging exhorbitant rates for services on my truck. It was so bad that at one point when I called to get an estimate of how much it would cost for my 40,000 mile service on my 2010 Tacoma 4WD, the service rep I spoke with over the phone quoted me over SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS (yes, for just a 40,000 mile service). When I asked him if he was kidding, we talked back & forth a few more times, and eventually haggled over the phone to get the price down to just over five hundred dollars (for a 40K mile service). Needless to say, I made an appointment with the dealership where I bought my truck (Seeger Toyota of St Robert), and made the 2+ hour drive on a Saturday to get the service done. Even with the cost of gas for the round trip, the price was WAY better than I could have expected at my local dealership. Pair that with the VAST number of complaints from coworkers about my local dealership, and my mind was made up-- never again, no matter what, will I go through them for anything. When I saw commercials on TV for Seeger Toyota in the St Louis area, I "Googled" you guys and sent an email asking about your affiliation (if any) with the dealership in St Robert. I exchanged a few emails with Joe Borts, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that the Seeger Toyota in St Louis is owned by the same family as the one in St Robert. Mr. Borts virtually took me by the hand via emails to set up my first appointment (kudos for making the first impression one of excellent customer service and caring about the customer!). When I arrived for my appointment on Saturday morning, again I encountered excellent customer service-- just like what I'd come to expect and appreciate from the folks down in St Robert. Then I saw your waiting room. Let me tell you, WOW! The selection of complimentary refreshments was outstanding! You guys really know how to treat a customer! Believe me, I have been spreading the good news about Seeger Toyota of St Louis, and whenever I hear coworkers (or strangers!) gripe about our local dealership (which happens quite often, mind you), I will be referring them to you! Thank you, thank you!
