We’ve purchased twice from them, the service dept is awesome. I’ll always travel a little to visit Clinton Honda. We have a dealership closer but they don’t compare at all to Clinton. We always recommend Clinton Honda to our friends and family.
Mike in service helped us tremendously recently with an issue with our CRV. They quickly got parts in and provided a loaner, and fixed my car very quickly and efficiently.

We purchased a 2011 Honda CRV at Garden State Honda and have been servicing it only at this dealership ever since, fully keeping with the prescribed service schedule. 9 years and 240,000 miles later, the car is still going strong, we've never had any major issues, and the engine especially just keeps running as great as ever. Andrew Brown has been our service agent for the past several years, he appreciates our loyalty, and is always very thorough in recommending corrections to things before they cause bigger problems. Whenever anything unexpected comes up, Andrew is always up-front about the risks and alternatives, and is always more than fair especially if there are additional costs involved. We will surely get another Honda here when the time comes, but this one is still running so well, we might not need to replace it for a long time. I was having a lot of trouble getting an appointment for an oil change. I work in a hospital OR and never know when I'll be done so scheduling in advance can be hard. I tried to drop my car off a few times but they weren't taking any more appointments the days I tried. I was finally desperate having way over 1000 miles over the recommend time with a 6 hour drive to a funeral I needed to attend. I tried to drop my car off again and asked if I could just let it sit there for how ever long it took even if it was a few days and I would Uber until then bc it needed to get done. I forget the man's name who I initially encountered who unlike everyone else did not immediately turn me away and took me to Chris. Chris said he would work with me and although he didn't think he could get it done that night he said he would fit it in over the next two days. Which I was extremely grateful for.
To much surprise and appreciation Chris called me 1 hour later to come get my car.
I am so thankful to everyone who worked harder and later just to fit me in. I truly greatly appreciate it. You all went way above and beyond for me

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. My experience with Boardwalk Honda has been frustrating, degrading, and frankly unacceptable.
I leased a brand new Honda Fit and for 7 months it ran without a problem. Then one day it would start. I tried a few times and it started up. Okay, just a fluke. Later that day, it wouldn't start again no matter how many times I tried. I had to have it towed to the dealership by Honda roadside.
When it got there, they couldn't start it either, so they KNOW I'm not making the problem up. However, when they tried to start it later it worked and continued working. They said they can't replicate the problem so there's nothing they can do even though they KNOW something is wrong. So, I take the car back and accept some BS from the sales manager about the battery even though it wouldn't start with a jump either.
Later that week, it wouldn't start again. This time luckily after a dozen tries and tapping on some relays, it worked. I took it back and told them the problem is still happening (which isn't a shocker since they did NOTHING). They kept it for a day, did nothing AGAIN, and said they can't fix anything because they can't replicate the problem. Apparently no one in this dealership knows what the word intermittent means, and thinks all of their customers are complete idiots.
I told them I didn't want a defective car, and they said they would "trade me out". What that means is I can trade in my car and finance a new one, except the value of my car is $5000 under the payoff. So I would be paying an extra $5000 on top of a new car just to replace the defective car they leased me. Great customer service right? They absolutely could not care less and basically said go ahead and file a lemon claim.
I honestly wanted this to be resolved, and thought they would even care a LITTLE about their customers, but they don't. Left with no other choice I'll have to pursue legal action.
If your car never has any problems, you'll probably have an okay experience with these people. Just remember, though, that if anything goes wrong, you're going to get completely screwed. They. Do. Not. Care.
NEVER buying another Honda Passport Touring or any other... - Rob
NEVER buying another Honda Passport Touring or any other vehicles from Open Road Honda in Edison again. I own a 2019 Passport Touring and can’t even listen to my radio, because the dam radio goes in and out and some days don’t even work at all. I took it to Honda service dept in Edison three times and they don’t know what the hel* is wrong with the radio. The technician guy try to train me on how to disconnect a fuse instead of the battery to reboot the radio (ain’t this some shi*). The service manager (George) gives me the run around and blames corporate for not releasing a software update for my vehicle, so I called corporate and they don’t know what’s going on. Corporate advise to continue taking the vehicle to Open Road Honda Service Dept. This suc*s!! riding in a new vehicle and cant even listen to the radio. Stay away from this dealer.
