We were only interested in buying out our Honda Civic lease. I wanted to speak with the finance manager. It was almost a 3 hour ordeal. A salesman caught us at the door, we told him what we wanted only to get interest rates, monthly payment information. (We had already gotten a quote from our bank). The salesman kept walking away and was dealing with another customer. He told us the finance manager was busy. We sat and sat and sat, until I complained. Finally the finance manager came over and said he had just gotten the paperwork and it would take another 10 minutes. We never saw the original salesman again, except to see him outside with another couple looking to purchase a car. We finally got in to see the finance guy who could not give us a better deal than the bank through Honda. He had tacked on approximately $1100.00 in extra fees to the loan. When asked what those fees were: Dealers fee, but we were not even buying a new car. He told us "well everyone has to make money"! We were getting ready to walk out and he said "wait, I have to let the manager know the deal fell through!' Are you kidding?? We were out of there after long 3 hours of mostly waiting time and refinanced the car through our bank with no extra fees!
