In life there are several things I dislike doing. Doing taxes, renewing license, going to funerals, and the two tied for number 1 going to the dentist and buying a car!
In the last two days buying a car has come off the list. My sales lady Ana Villa was fantastic! And the “evil finance folks” were unbelievable! I got great and timely service on both trucks I bought. Well I didn’t take home two trucks but I took one home on day and changed to a different one the next day. 😎. Everyone knows of the hours usually spent buying a vehicle , but it took less than a hour and half on each. They were very respectful of my time and requirements. The staff at Norman Frede can only be described by one word. GROOVY!

His candor is refreshing. Incidentally, I am thrilled with the Honda vehicle. It runs beautifully. My only complaint was the feeling of renegotiation that occurred when it came time to sign the contract as the add-on coverage was somewhat assumed (at an extra cost) and it took some blatant language on my part to return to the negotiated price. I think this aspect should be discussed up front, so the buyer doesn't feel as if being suddenly upsold.

I have purchased many vehicles over the past 40 plus years and I can't recall at any other dealerships the excellent customer service I was given. My salesman, Cesar Oliveira went beyond the call to help me select the vehicle I wanted. Even though he told me he had only been working at Ron Carter for two days, I would not have known it. It was evident that had previous sales experience and I thank the dealership for hiring such quality personnel. I purchased a Promaster 3500 cargo van from Cesar that had all the equipment I was looking for. There was no pressure from Cesar or the dealership to purchase from them. I also want to give credit to Santo Cabrera, the Sales Manager for his assistance in making my experience pleasant. Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland advertised a very good price on a vehicle I have been looking at for awhile. I filled out their form online to make sure they had it. They responded in writing, yes they had the vehicle at the price advertised.
The next day before I went down to talk to them about it, I notice that the price went up by several thousand dollars. I called and talked to them about it and was bounced around to several Salesman and it took a couple a days for them to figure out it was a mistake or least that's what they told me. I even sent them the confirmation email that I received showing the vehicle and the price.... still no good. Also, the truck conveniently was sold during the 2 days that we were calling back and forth about it.
A manager called me and apologized and said he wanted to make it right by making me a good deal on a different vehicle. We found one and I went and test drove it, but the salesman that was helping me gave me a different price... higher of course... than what the manager told me it was going to be.
After wasting a frustrating week, I decided I needed to take my business elsewhere.

Check engine light came on and made a same day appointment for 530pm. Arrived and Mile was waiting on me, had my truck in the repair shop in less than 10 minutes. 20 minutes later he had a loaner truck waiting for me because they needed to order a part for it. The next day Mike called me and told me the were waiting for the part and he would call me when it was repaired. 2 days later my truck was finished and ready for me to pick it up. Mike was waiting with my truck when I got there and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes

If this guy is a salesman, the my dog will be an elite sales! We had an appointment with one of their online sales manager. When we walked in the showroom we were told the guy was not there, but he claimed he would be there in his email. Then this well dressed guy took care of us. I told him that we had a limited budget and we hope him showing us no matter LS or LT. this guy brought us the price of the LT as well as our trade in price which was ridiculously low! We told him we could not afford this one, then he asked us to telling him our prospective price. We told him a number we saw in the Cars.com which was the lowest price of a LS model. This guy hit the table with his palm heavily and said: it’s impossible to buy a LT with your price, good luck! We were shocked! We did telling him that we wanted to take a look at both the LT & LS! He pushed us to showing him our bottom line, but he did nothing for helping us finding a proper vehicle but laughing at us! I did not know how they trained this stupid guy. Our budget was not enough for a LS, but it’s enough for a traverse! Finally I guess this guy thought he was selling luxury vehicles, those people had low budgets did not worth his time and respect!

Bought a used vehicle here. Has been in the shop 3 times in the 3 weeks that we have had it. The guy above all the salesman is so rude and made every experience feel like it was our fault and talked down to us. He got called out on his crooked lies at the end of it. We will NEVER do business with them again. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with the guy. One guy ruined it all. Oh and the rental they set us up for? Closes before we can even get there.

We have bought our last several cars from Bounds. Knowing the family gave us confidence we were in good hands. Anytime there seemed to be a glitch, it was quickly tended to and corrected. All seven cars were well priced and we got good trades for our old cars. My husband died and I am about to embark on a new car search. Even though I now live in the Hill Country, I'm probably going back to Bounds. I know I can trust them and they will do me right.

I was driving from Oklahoma City to lake Jackson and my oil life monitor flashed 0% so it said to change oil soon. I pulled into this dealer at 430 pm hoping to get an oil change. I was first advised that all the oil techs were done for the day and referred to a jiffy lube down the street. Just before I left the service area Steven Busch, a service adviser came over and told me that he had found a late working tech that would do the oil change for me. He offered me a bottle of water and a seat in the reception area. He understood my urgency and he went out of his way to find a solution. In 30 min I was on my way at a good price. Thank you Steven Busch for great customer service. What a great service department.

We came in after our Internet search for a used car lead to McHaik Chevy. Met Max Dao and he was very nice and pleasant. He showed us the car, advised us on the features of the car and also showed us other cars in our price range so we know our options. We ended up with another car that had less mileage, leather seats, and a lot of nicer features for just a bit more. The sale was quick, no pressure, no back and forth with the “manager” and we didn’t waste a whole day there. Thank you Max Dao and the McHaik Chevy Used Car team!

I began my search for a new suburban at Buckalew Chevrolet, my salesman Jeff Rea was incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicle which was a plus but one of the best things was I felt comfortable with the process there. He had my car appraised and as soon as it was over he handed me my keys back which made me feel like I could leave if I wanted too! Then I told him I needed to pick up my kids soon and he had the vehicles pulled that would work for me and went over the features quickly but efficiently, no messing around with maybe this one or that one, it was too the point and not a waste of my time!
I went to other dealerships and had horrible experiences, I had one just down the freeway, that actually kept me there for over 2 hours, wouldn't give me my keys back, brought around cars that I wasn't interested in but tried to push and of course the vehicle I went in to look at had miraculously just been sold!
I kept comparing the other dealerships to Buckalew and to Jeff Rea and realized that I would much rather do business with them! I also realized that although the other dealers seemed to have a better price when I went back to compare apples to apples there actually wasn't any comparison! The other dealers were adding in "dealer packages" and not being honest about their prices. Buckalew showed me everything I was paying for and not adding any hidden fees or charges.
I finally went back to Jeff and made the deal! I got there late one evening but we worked the deal quickly and instead of making me wait he put all the paperwork together and I came back the next morning. We were able to go straight to the finance office and John Withrow had us in and out in less than 10 minutes!
I have bought several cars in my life and have actually worked at two different dealerships and this was the easiest, most painless car buying experience I have ever had in my life!!!

They offered me half of what my car blue booked for. Had to walk out before they took me serious. Was there until midnight arguing over the truck before we came to an agreement. Then I schedule warranty/recall work and they didn’t even have the parts to do the repair and I live an hour and a half away. They closed early on me so I lost all my travel time as well as now I’ll have to take off work to drop off their rental to get mine back, and still have to come back to get the work done.

I am not one to leave a review, ever. After the entire process of trading a vehicle at this place, I had come to the conclusion, that car buying, and selling can leave the consumer very vulnerable. Long story short, I signed a contract on 10-10-16, and the finance guy didnt get the deal done untill days before Thanksgiving. I was told they were waiting on tax return documents to come back. After doing some research myself, that was in fact untrue. My trade-in had a loan at a local credit union, and the loan was showing to be late due to the pay off not being received for almost 2 months. I took a big hit on my credit score with the payment not being made. Then, the icing on the cake was getting a call from the finance manager (Mr Herrera) that I needed to come in and sign a new contract, because the original numbers wouldnt work with the bank, and this time around I needed 1000.00 down to complete the deal. I said no, I just want my trade back and want to be done with this place. He screamed at me over the phone that they didnt need my money, and went on and on about how they lost so much money on my deal. Which he then later called and apologized for his behavior on the phone, Im guessing someone heard him yelling at me. Once again, not my problem, I just wanted my truck back. I went back up there the following day after work, (mind you, its quite a drive) with my small children to resign the paperwork. Not one apology, not one sorry for the inconvenience, but rather a confused almost rude finance guy. He was in a hurry to get me out of there. Finally after almost 2 months of driving a vehicle I wasnt even sure that I owned, I was done with this place. I wasnt someone going in with a bad credit score, or needed a last resort, I was shopping here because I had heard great things, so I went. It was a nightmare, and did I mention I went through this process 9 months pregnant? Needless to say I wont recommend any of my clients/friends, I cant imagine anyone having to go through that nonsense. On the flip-side, Khan was super nice, and not his fault the finance department was horrible.
Questable repair work - Not Happy
I have a 2016 GMC Denali 3500HD with less than 25000 miles brought to dealer with steering box leaking and a lot of play in steering and while the truck was in for service I let them do a oil change and lube. They replace steering box and change oil. Picked up truck and drop off my 2014 GMC pickup for a/c blowing hot air. Still had play in steering. Got under truck to take a look, notice steering box leaking grease and no boot covering shaft coming out of steering box, splash plate covering steering box area was warped on one side and bolt hole areas were cracked and fracture, and truck was not lubed during oil change. Returned truck to dealer to get above fixed. They now said it’s was a wore out idle arm so they replace it and adjusted toe. They replace boot on steering box shaft (which they forgot first repair) and splash shield.did not lube truck again. Play in steering gone but now have a vibration in steering wheel witch I didn’t have before. Without them test driving now the problem is my tires. Being a xxxxxxx to prove a point I went to a tire dealer and purchase 6 new michlen tires (1800.00) same as tires that come on truck witch only had 25000 miles. Return to dealer made them test drive and they said problem still tires and they need to do a 140 dollar road balance. And ask when do I wanted to make a appointment. The service advisors can do all this without checking the work already done by a mechanic that can’t even replace parts without forgetting some. And as far as getting it lube you have to tell them 3 time. I only asked twice because they do not grease unless told to. It’s my mistake to think they would lube truck when paying 225.00 for a lube and oil change without being told to grease grease certs. Quick lube did it for free. A/C on 2014 another long story.
Dishonest on trade values! - JCS1
I have no complaint with the salesman Michael Ballard. He only did what he was told by the sales manager. I traded in 2 vehicles, a 2005 Chevrolet ¾ ton crew cab w/ 4 WD, diesel that had less than 25k miles and in excellent condition. I also traded a 2014 Mercedes C250 sedan with 5k miles. After almost 2 hrs. of going back and forth the sales manager told my salesman they couldn’t give me more than 41k for the 2 vehicles. This process included at first not honoring the internet price. According to all trade in values I researched the value of both vehicles and found the value at the least 46k. A friend was interested in the truck and called in the AM on the 11th. After calling 3 times he was told the truck had already sold that morning. He asked the price and was told for 25k. I DO NOT like being lied to. I blame your sales manager. I know you are in business to make money, but I think 6500. on one trade is too much. I went in with trade in values I had researched and had online offers above what you allowed. I have purchased 8 new vehicles in the last 6 yrs. and this was the first time I traded. You got to me this time, but you will never get another chance. I told the salesman that that was the first time I had ever purchased a vehicle without pricing other dealers. Shame on me! Thanks for the worst auto deal of my life and I will let all know about this. Your reputation of being dishonest with customers will hurt you and your dealership.
