The one complaint that we have is that, after we made our choice of a vehicle, the process of finishing the purchase took much too much time. We were at the dealership for about four hours (through lunch time). The problem seemed to be that we were considerably delayed in seeing the finance manager. Perhaps she had several customers that needed her services all at once. Once we got to see her, she was friendly and professional. It would have been good if the dealership would have advised us that there would be a delay so that we could have gone out to get some lunch. My wife has type 1 diabetes and her eating schedule is very important. Fortunately she had some candy in her purse that kept her blood sugar from going too low.
All in all we had a good experience at the dealership. We especially appreciated the sales person who sold us our car, Don Yarnall. He answered our questions, and we did not feel pushed to buy anything that we did not want. Thank you, Don!

My husband and I started shopping for a new vehicle a few months back and we visited about 6 or 7 dealerships where no one really tried to "sell" us on their cars until we found Glendale Hyundai. We had done an extensive amount of research pre-visiting any dealerships and agreed that we wanted a compact SUV preferably with Apple CarPlay. After a few test drives around a block where salesmen couldn't tell us about any specs on the vehicles, we test drove the Tucson with Pam and Jaime and they were the most kind, helpful associates in our first time car buying process. We ended up waiting a few months, but drove off with a brand new 2018 Tucson. Jaime worked out a great deal for us and we are so happy to have our new car!

Bought a certified pre-owned sonata from them. They didn't smog the car (its part of the certification process), trunk latch failed in three days, strange rattle started a few weeks after purchase, when I changed the oil the air filter looked like it hadn't been replaced once in the 40K mile life of the car (how do you certify a car and not check the air filter?). All this leads me to think they didn't even change the oil. This place is a total joke. Never again. I will be complaining to Hyundai directly.

We use to buy our cars from this location back in the day when John Bryant was the internet manager because we were able to do everything online from getting an actual price and financing without the "when are you coming in for a test drive to talk price" speech from other dealers. This stopped for a while but after I was able to finally find a Genesis Coupe at this dealership I gave Glendora Hyundai a shot and Jimmy Carlisle had no problem doing everything online and it onmy took an hour at the dealership to sign the documents and leave with my purchase.

Deceptive Sales Tactic and Unethical Manager - Individual
I originally wanted to wait and buy a Hyundai Sonata close to the end of the year. Puente Hills Hyundai dealer lured me in by promising an out-of-door price in writing. Then one hour prior to my appointment, which is supposed to finalize the deal, they texted me and said they could not honor the price. When I arrived the dealership, they told me how unattainable the price that they promised in the email was, and tried to sell me at a higher price. It is the classic bait and switch technique. When I tried to tell the finance manager that I did not like the sales tactic that they used. He said "Who promised this? I am going to fire him." I was speechless. He then went on, "You just got him fired." I said that I was going to file complaints about this practice. He was enraged. He said "This is my shop, and no one threatens me. Not you, not Trump." I was clueless as to why he brought up this name. In short, this individual has no ethics, and shameless. In my email with Robert Jefferson, he
mentioned that he got approval of the name of the director, so it is highly likely that he was merely under the direction of his superior.

I went to Cardinale Way to buy an advertised vehicle and turn in my lease. The dealership said they didn't have that one available but had another one in another color advertised for 1k less. I drove the car and was agreeable to the different vehicle. The advertised price was $14,677 online when the contract came out I was charged $15,300. I was also charged $2,000 plus for other non-advertised products called "other aftermarkets". I spent four hours there going back and forth with Michael, the "Finance Manager", haggling over the price. He finally dropped the $2000 to $995 like he was doing me a favor. I have an excellent credit score and they presented me with a 7% interest rate, like it was the greatest rate ever. After going back 3 more times they finally lowered it to 3.99%. By that time I was over it and left without buying the car. I have purchased 2 other cars at Cardinale Way in the past, and my fiancé has purchased 3 of his vehicles there as well. I don't know if management changed, but they are horrible now. They've lost our business for good.

I don't know about other reviews, but I've never had a faster and more friendly service on a vehicle. I showed up at 5:45pm to get windshield wipers operational on a Genesis G80 that I had just leased! It was impossible to think that the dealership I leased the car from wouldn't have checked all systems! When I arrived at Nissani with my young son, I told them I had very little time and needed to get the wipers operational (as the first rains in Los Angeles had shown up). My service agent John M was amazing. I bet he always gets customers wanting it all done fast. In my case, that was vital. Sometimes service agents, after a long day, give you a veiled frown or a stifled sigh. Not here! My car was returned to me with wipers working 15 minutes later-- apparently, the OTHER dealership didn't activate them with a special sensor. The dealership and service is spotless and the people inhabiting its spaces are professional. Even a salesman, Eugene, was really nice and I wasn't in the market for a car or there to potentially help his numbers! This is the kind of treatment that I believe Genesis ought to be striving for as they iron out their bureaucracy and their brand services. In this instance, I felt like I got what I paid for. Service in July that was not done properly. Found out because car almost died last Saturday and was able to barely drive to Downey Hyundai. Downey Hyundai had car for four days when they called that car needed Coolant Flush. I authorized service and later that evening check my paperwork from work done by Sage Hyundai in July. I had a coolant flush! I called Downey Hyundai to not have service preformed because i had coolant flush done in July, but Downey Hyundai informed me that that was impossible because it was half full and dirty. I contacted Sage Hyundai and left message for the Service Director, Ara, who never called me back. I called again and left message, but not call back. I called four times today (Saturday) to speak to the service director and i just got transferred from person to person. Called again and left on hold for over 17 minutes. I called again with call transferred which rang for 45 times. If I would have been given at least a free oil change, I would have been happy, but all I got was being ignored by everyone that worked at Sage. I will NEVER go back to this dealer again. I have had other problems with them taking hours just for oil changes. I miss the old management which got you in and out.
