When I moved to the Ann Arbor area in 2002, my first car purchase was at Howard Cooper VW. At that time I considered the experience to be lackluster at best with little regard for negotiating on final price purchase was at Howard Cooper VW. At that time I considered the experience to be lackluster at best with little regard for negotiating on final price -- they sold cars for the MSRP on the sticker. That, and with the treatment I received from other dealerships, I had no incentive to return to Howard Cooper (now Germain VW/Audi). In the spring of 2013 I wanted to purchase an Audi A5 Cabriolet and given that I was able to obtain supplier pricing and the fact that Howard Cooper was no longer the owner of the dealership, I gave Germain an opportunity to work with me. The overall experience was, unfortunately, not much better. While the sales associate I spoke with, Chris Pugh, was very passionate about cars and even coordinated an over-night test drive for me, I found his soft skills to be lacking. He didn't return phone calls, and appeared inconvenienced when it came time to searching for the car configuration I wanted. When it came time to sign the paperwork and take ownership, the true colors of the old Howard Cooper ownership presented themselves. The sales manager, Trish Smith, was easily heard over the partition walls making a number of comments to Chris Pugh about the sale that were massively unprofessional and really made me quite uncomfortable basically suggesting that they were doing me a favor rather than being genuinely thankful for receiving my business. To add further insult, after the deal closed, the business manager Kashaka Fields contacted me and informed me that I owed them another approximate $700 because they didn't complete the purchase buy-out of my 2011 VW CC before the price Volkswagen of America had quoted them expired. So, Kashaka diligently contacted me and basically insisted that I immediately pay them the remaining balance on the vehicle that I didn't even own anymore. To say that the treatment of the business manager combined with the sales manager was rude and unprofessional is a gross understatement. Even with AudiCare I will not use Germain for any further business of any type. It is my hope that people in the Ann Arbor area realize there are other options, and other dealers that understand what customer satisfaction is, and choose to take their business elsewhere since it is, at least in my case, not appreciated by Germain. Paul an honest and a terrific value. We were in town visiting family and found out we had a serious rear toe alignment problem with our A6 allroad. Paul and his crew fit us in right away without an appointment and had our car ready for us in about 3 hours. They provided a detailed alignment report and pictures of our tires as well, along with VERY competitive pricing. We could not be more pleased with the quality of our experience here. More

I was traveling on a business trip out of state when the engine light came on in my brand new Q. I called over to Germain where they said they were booked but to still stop by to see if they could run a sca engine light came on in my brand new Q. I called over to Germain where they said they were booked but to still stop by to see if they could run a scan on the car. They squeezed me in, found the issue and now I can drive hundreds of miles back home knowing car is ok. Paul Stec and Ryan were incredibly nice, professional and gave great service. I even got a carwash! ( I'm sure he noticed how dirty the car was from traveling.) Thank you so much! More

I was shopping for either an A7, the BMW 740 or a Jaguar XJ. I stopped to look at the Audi. I walk in, and most of the sales staff is standing around talking to each other. Two are helping customers. I XJ. I stopped to look at the Audi. I walk in, and most of the sales staff is standing around talking to each other. Two are helping customers. I try for eye contact, no luck. I open the door of the A7 sitting in the showroom, and start looking around. Still no help. I open the freaking trunk. Nothing. I walked around looking for pamphlets. The ONLY person who acknowledged my existence, in my 10 minutes there. was one of the other customers. NOW I am only looking at the 7 Series or the XJ.... Simply inexplicable. More
